The Crimson Cartel
Hey Brothers! After a 2 year hiatus from the game and hobby, I decided to see what paint was still usable, dust off the brushes, and finish a model that has been waiting on the shelf for far too long. Not being a fan of the old static sculpt, I had to try my had at improving it for my tastes. The only stipulation was that I had to use parts that I had on hand. I tried to include as many of Meph's iconic details as possible, while "updating" the style a bit. Didn't turn out perfect, but i'm happy with it after so long away. C&C always welcome. Cheers! -CC

Father Mapple
Looks good. Did you use any of the original model? The sword arm looks like it could be.
Chaplain_Sam
Very nice! I took a shot at a Mephiston conversion but eventually just bought the real model. Yours turned out much better!

The Crimson Cartel
Thanks for the affirmation lads! Looks sweet to me brother! Can you tell us what bitz you used to make that? I've never had much interested in including Mephiston in my army but after seeing this kit bash I am reconsidering ... The bits are pretty straightforward. - Sanguinary Guard chest, legs, and accessories - Death Co. powerplant and plasma pistol - cloak is from the Chaos termie lord (trimmed and modified) - Mephistons original sword and hood - Original Baal Pred gunners head - Chaos Knights shoulder pad from the fantasy line - Various bits and bobs for accessories
Nicodemus Doloroso
Thanks! I may eventually try my hand at something like this. I've been working on my Imperial Guard and Inquisition/Scion force for quite some time now, but have recently been feeling the pull back to my BA successors. Threads like this serve to further kindle those flames!
Dotkingz
This is the main reason why I don't like the normal Mephy model it's just to stiff looking. Great looking model my friend
