Gaz1858
Hi guys, so ive been looking at this for my army but i cannot understand part of how it works. It says when it arrives blah blah but needs to pay 25 points for Drop Pod Assault. Does this mean it will arrive like normal reserves if i do not purchase that rule?? Or do i have to ha e it meaning its base cost is 100..... Cheers Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/296037-deathstorm-drop-pod/ Share on other sites

Dam13n
Imperial Armour volume 2 (second edition). Yes, if you don't purchase the DPA* special rule it'll have to start in normal reserves (arrive turn 2 on a 3+ and so on). Also as the rule is written in the IA book, Deathstorms without the DPA* rule do not count towards the calculation for how many that do have the DPA* rule can arrive on turn 1. Which is interesting. It does mean that it'll cost 100pts with the DPA* special rule. * DPA = Drop Pod Assault. Brother Navaer Solaq
good thing i found this. :) Q. Is the deathstorm drop pod rules stated in the "imperial armour volume twelve - the fall of orpheus" valid in 7th edition? Q. What is the fire arc for each of the assault cannons on the unit? Dam13n
1 - no, the most up-to-date rules are in IA2 2nd edition. They over-rule all previous versions. 2 - they are hull mounted weapons, so each will have a 45' arc of fire centred around a straight line drawn along the barrel of the gun.
