How to fight a nurgle Deamon lord with GK

Nothing meatier in our lists than a dreadknight. STR10 gsword with force, ignoring armor, and banishment should give the Prince a pause... especially fielding 2 knights.

Basically our whole army should give demonic models a bit of a scare.

We should be pretty happy to see any demon list, even nurgle. The toughness boost is easily overcome with hammerhand, we should break just about any armor they have, and banishment eats away their saves.

Well we don't have any initiative boosting a abilities anymore, so a big scary Daemon with an instant death sword striking at initiative 8 at a high weapon skill is like suicide for a dreadknight, (which makes absolutely no sense fluff wise)

Our best bet it to shoot it lol.

The nurgle lord is only initiative 5.... It's the one out of imperial armor but I cannot for the life if me spell his name

I responded to the guy above me, he said "Prince" meaning daemon Prince lol.

But anyway. A dreadknight should at least get 1 wound through to the Lord and instant death him. Unless he's a nurgle biker with toughness 6,because then you must rely of force and hope your opponent doesn't did spell it.

Because I'm not sure who you mean? I haven't got the book either haha

Inquisitor with the relic that knocks 5 off his weaponskill and Paladins with falchions and force active and a HQ with Hammerhand active should be enough to take it out. Expensive for sure but probably not as expensive as what they'll be killing. If you dont mind deviating to much from fluff, make the Inquisitor a Xenos and take Rad grenades to drop is toughness a little.

So I'm curious, how would y'all handle a nurgle force with the big ole guy in it? I'm thinking paladin spam but I was wondering what you guys thought.

Well seeing as we're playing Apocalypse, I take a Reaver Titan and procede to turbo-laser him into steam.

If you're talking about a Nurgle Daemon Prince, ground him first with Skyfire (Raven or a Quad-Gun), then gatling psilencer with 'Force'. Failing that, a Terminator squad with at least two hammers (he'll kill 3-4, but then you hail mary with the hammer and 'Force' turned on).

If you're talking about a GUO, put a Dreadknight into him.
Just for something different you could tie in up with a brotherhood champion with the bone shard backed up by Stern for a reroll able 2++ in the challenge. While it is occupied with that a Dreadknight should be able to hammer it flat.

For similiar points I'd rather just take another Dreadknight. It won't kill two DK's with 'Sanctuary' up, one of them will stab it to death.

Silly me, I forget the attention to detail that went into rendering half the units pointless.

Half? You are too kind to GW ;) . Don't forget kids, relics are just too powerful to be taken in combination, or on heroes who have literally no other purpose but melee combat.
