casb1965
Have seen a few lists on here suggesting using Draigo with a unit of Purifiers so they can GoI to get up close and personal. Would using GoI to get the unit within 9" of the enemy then Cleansing flame work as a combination? Exile Noctis
Can't see why it wouldn't work but it would be cutting down on the effectiveness of Purifiers because you're not able to charge until the turn after. casb1965
True, which is why i was looking for the combination that made draigo/Purifiers a good combination and that was the only thing I could think off. There must be a reason why they have them in the list, just looking for it :) Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/296190-draigo-purifiers/#findComment-3798069 Share on other sites

There must be a reason why they have them in the list, just looking for it It does solve the issue with Purifiers not being able to deep strike though. Put them in a CAD list with a Libby and a squad of termies for good measure. Have a NSF alongside and you can deepstrike the Purifiers alongside everything else. So you still need an Allied drop pod to Deepstrike them. IK Viper
Purifiers are a cheaper version of terminators. More Attacks, Warp Charges, and useful powers for the same points, but no 2+ save... Draigo is about the only way I see these guys getting into the fight quickly without a transport. Landraider of these guys is a nightmare though. The ability for the squad to power up with Hammerhand and Force on it's own without IC support is huge. Draigo and a squad of Purifiers in a CAD alongside the NSF is brilliant to support them for turn 1. Imagine getting off all your reserves turn 1... Glorious! (I feel that you could put Draigo and the Purifiers next to a Comms Relay to start with. That way, you have a higher success rate in getting in everything.) Edit: Would be my proposed list for the above; NSF Libby 5 man Terminator Squad 2x NDKs CAD Draigo Libby 2 5 man Terminator squads. 10 man Purifier squad, combat squadded All I need to think about now is putting a Comms relay in and a delivery system for the other purifiers. More NDKs are nice too ;) Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/296190-draigo-purifiers/#findComment-3799084 Share on other sites
Rurik the blessed
Draigo + purifiers is a very good convination, it's like a cheaper version of 10x man termi or paladins. but... for what you want... i would field a Librarian instead of Draigo... Librarian ml3 + liber daemonica. You could fish for forewarning on Divination, for a 4+ inv and teleportation power on Santic for first turn That gives you better options.. Even you could roll the "First to the fray" warlord trait for a first turn deepstrike. You have twice the option to get it (because of rerroll) Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/296190-draigo-purifiers/#findComment-3799131 Share on other sites

More NDKs are nice too Why the need for a CAD? take another NSF and just one full terminator squad, then if the libby also rolls GoI you can bounce them around too, if not you can combat squad them and DS turn one. You have twice the option to get it (because of rerroll) The trouble with this, the trouble with 40k as a whole, is the randomness of the psychic powers. You might as well roll a dice for the weapons too, 1-2 psilencer, 3-4 incinerator, 5-6 psycannon. Do this for each squad. I think not... because LOW is part of the detachment, CAD and NSF thought so. My mate just had a massive bitch as me because I said I might use draigo. Gave me a lecture on how I can't because he's a low and if I take him he'll do a daemon cheese list and his brother will spam riptides as I'm being unfair and too competitive..... Was pretty pathetic actually Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/296190-draigo-purifiers/#findComment-3799831 Share on other sites
