Prot
Do they exist? I'm in need of some good audio material to fill time.... I am currently buying/downloading the Ascension of Balthasar. Does anyone have any other recommendations? Also as a side note I grabbed ADB's Savage Weapons since everyone tells me great things about it. lost_angel
Trials of azreal was pretty good. Like aob it's fairly short - being an aside to the pandorax campaign. Can't give too much away right now as the mobile site won't seem to let me do spoilers but the cover illustration will give you a hint as to what's going on;-) There's some cracking voice actors and the whole thing moves along at a brisk old pace to a pretty satisfying conclusion. Great stuff if you want to kill an hour or so. Hope that helps, R Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/296197-good-dark-angels-audio-books/#findComment-3803364 Share on other sites

Brother dean
Grey Angel is a Loken/Iacton adventure on Calaban and Malediction is a m40ish story. Both less than an hour tho. Space Truckin
Ascension of Balthazar is probably my favorite. Sound effects can be a little obnoxious to start but the story is good and would make a good graphic novel. I might of enjoyed Dark Vengeance if I had listened to this first. I just don't agree with CZ Dunn's vision of the Dark Angels - ( i should start a thread on this if there isn't one already ) Pandorax is something like a 12+ hour epic - Voice acting for Azrael is a bit over the top, Corpulax sounds like he's got a mouth stuffed with marshmallows... In general I listen to the last 4-5 chapters the most when I can't sleep - and again more CZ Dunn Keystone Cops at the end... Trials of Azrael - another short one but this is ok, pretty easy to figure out in the beginning whats going on which I guess makes me smarter than Azrael... Descent of Angels & Fallen Angels - These are just like the books with no goofy accents. Great history on the chapter , wish there was more character development - it's got to be difficult with so many different authors writing HH books. Malediction - haven't gotten this one yet. I need a break before more CZ Dunn and currently enjoying me some Gav Thorpe reading Ok... with all this said not a DA one but check out Helsreach - the best 40k audio book I've read listened too. Really almost made me want to give up DA for Black Templars for about 5 minutes. Can't remember who the author is but they manage to throw you into this huge battle and give you the sense of the massive scale without turning it into bolter porn. He presents this huge scale of a backdrop but keeps the story focused and interesting. I was really really hoping Pandorax would be a DA version of Helsreach.
