Vertical firing arc on Stormfang/Stormwolf

Hey guys, I'm having trouble finding a consensus on vertical firing arcs on fixed hull weapons on fliers in 7th. This would affect the shooting from the Stormfang quite a bit with things like the TL Las Cannons (fixed) and the Multi-Melta's which only pivot side to side, not up and down. Not to mention the large gun on the front of the Storm Fang would only have an effective range of about 12-24" if it only has a 22.5 degree down arc.

Is there a faq or something somewhere which says that fliers don't have the 45 degree vertical pivot or what do other people play?

The stormwolf does naturally sit on the stand at several angles due resting against the angled chair which resolves this issue quite nicely

Its pretty much this that made me think about it. As the acrylic stand is basically a 'meta' stand to represent where it could be, am I allowed to customise it as much as the rest of the ship? If so its going to be a telescopic stand with a ball joint on it :)

I think most players would consider this modelling for advantage

Is 'modelling for advantage' a thing? I hadn't heard that term before but I guess it makes sense in that you could just use older and smaller models to get an LOS advantage. I dislike the idea though that depending on how you construct your flier, it may have a better or worse angle for ground attack.

I tend not to play tournaments so we're having a discussion about what to do with it amongst our group. I was curious to see what others might have done or found.

I just didn't glue it to stand. it just happily sits on the stand in a variety of poses and angles

I would not care too much but I know people who would

Unfortunately modelling for advantage is a thing and has been abused
