Ming
Just finished writing up a report on my list and performance in the first ever Maine 40K State Championship League. It was awesome! www.defendersofcalth.blogspot.com Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/296282-3rd-company-ultramarines-maine-40k-league/ Share on other sites
silencer
Hey Ming, nice, short batrep. I would enjoy them even more with some more pics or Vassalmaps, but this is a lot of work. In general, I really like your army and your playing style though I prefer Divination on Tigurius, and I would put some combi-gravguns on the Sternguards. One question: how do the Deathwind systems on the pods work? Cheers M. Ming
Deathwinds are awesome - In a game vs orks as a last practice leading up to the championship round, they became a huge threat to any boyz that got in their range. In the Championship round game 2, bloodletters and other lesser demons were easy fodder. It takes a pod from something you can ignore (storm bolter is not too scary) to something you have to deal with or fear. Armor 12 is difficult for many armies to deal with or waste time with. In the game vs Necrons, with three pods along the centerline objectives, my opponent spent a lot of gauss effort just to try and wreck them. Similar in Game 3. Ok, sounds impressive, mirroring my own thoughts on the subject. However, I always lack the points to take them. Maybe, that's gonna change soon. Thanks M.
