Yes is 3+

because

+1 for being better psyker, ml3 vs ml2 or ml1 of opponent.

+1 for being psyker

+1 for adamantium will given by the staff

that's 3+

I personally prefeer the staff, most of the time, Librarian will go with enough CC brothers.. so this will grant extra protection to him and 12" bubble (because of his hood) to nearby allies against enemy psiquic powers.

The staff also confeers +2 S, so it will attack at S6.

Personally i'd just run storm bolters because its only 5 pts and gives him some shooty.. why waste the shooting phase on him if he's running with terminators?

Meh, I can think of better 5pt upgrades elsewhere. His strength is his Mastery 3, his shooting is usually meaningless outside of a combi-melta shot.

But that's like saying terminators shouldn't bother shooting, either.. it's a free 2 shots isn't it? 5 more points for a 1 shot melta + bolter

I've been rolling with ml3 ndh and usually liber daemonica. While not necessary depending on your list I think it's too good not to include. I also make him the warlord rerolling for results 4 or 6. 4-5 rolls on sanctic is godlike. So far I've always got vortex, cleansing flame and gate. Taking this setup is essentially like considering him a purifier unit and a gate delivery system. 3 rolls just isn't in the same league. Once I get these powers if I have rolls left I try for invis defaulting to shriek. One time I also even picked up prescience. I can't think of another psyker that nasty for his cost honestly.  The biggest problem is killing himself.

Unfortunately no, because you lose psychic focus. That's also why I make the libby my warlord. Not that banishment is even a consideration outside of daemon matches. If your rolling primarily on telepathy or divination then I wouldn't recommend the liber. IMO sanctic is insanely good with 4 rolls though. Divination I leave to GMs and inquisitors. I'm actually not that sold on invis for gk. With so few units and lack of a good deathstar build it just makes target priority easier for your opponent. I like it on my beasts although it's pretty unfair, but gk not so much.

Well, in my case... i always do that... and teleport them on first turn... i prefeer this over the interceptor squad... they will die anyway...

Yeah I'm feeling more and more that min Strikes is better than investing in Terminators, who will get cremated by AP2 anyway. It drops your investment in Troops by half, freeing up points for better stuff like Purifiers or Dreadknights.

The thing is, we already have so many of the Sanctic powers by default, I feel its better going for Telepathy or Divination completely, rather than mixing powers. 'Gate' is amazing but its a random roll, whereas Telepathy and Divination both have solid Primaris powers to fall back on (and for free) if your random powers are worthless.

It's solid gold defensive tech though. Put 'Invis' on a Dreadknight and watch them sweat. Or, if you are so inclined, put up 'Invis' after a Turn 1 Deepstrike of a full Terminator unit into enemy lines. Watch them really cry, as their AP2 misses horribly and even massed firepower barely kills anyone. Snap Shooting also means no templates or blasts can touch you, which is amazing for Purifiers (no Heldrake can touch them). I'd rather have 'Invis' than not have it, it's broken and really the only power besides 'Shrouding' from that Discipline that I use regularly (usually out of range for 'Psychic Shriek', and its very random).

I really don't mix and match. I take sanctic until I get cleansing flame/vortex and gate or have exhausted my rolls. Then if I have rolls left I try for invis if not I take the primaris. Makes the libby pretty killy and mobile. If I could build build a decent star with cheap support left over I might try harder for invisibility. DKs probably being the exception. Invisible grinders and fmc's are pretty scary so I'm sure knights would be too.

I've tried going different Disciplines before, and I just find you end up compromising the psyker, especially now with Psychic Focus on offer. I have been leaning away from Telepathy of late, due to my rotten luck of rolling the useless trash powers instead of the defensive tech. Divination is solid all the way through, putting 'Forewarning' on a Dreadknight guarantees rage from opponents, 'Perfect Timing' helps psycannon get through Jink saves on skimmers and such, 'Precognition' is situationally amazing etc. Not to mention the most useful Primaris in the game.

Recently, I've really been liking the cuirass of sacrifice on mine. The FNP I'd useful against perils, and IWND if useful for regenerating the wound that got through the FNP. Granted, it's not mandatory, but it's nice if I have 15pts laying around.

Huh, nice catch. You can indeed 'FNP' Perils wounds. That makes the Cuirass pretty solid then. If only Libbys had 3 wounds...
