The basic premise for the army is a bunch of CSM Bikers dedicated to returning The Doomrider to his "glory". After chopping her up,I had to sculpt the hips and thighs. The head is Dark Eldar, heavily GS'd. @Razerz:"Her" arms are indeed part of the forks, although I did toy with the idea of having them bent back for the handlebars, or even two sets of arms, forks and handles. I was also thinking of adopting the Dornian Heresy White Scars color scheme. ..the IA for them being one of the inspirations for this army. But I remain undecided between that and going the more "stereotypical" biker route with black, lots of leathery browns, and flames painted on the bikes. It's very suggestive shall we say....and its captured the whole slaanesh concept alright but maybe painting it gold or other metallic would make it a little more subtle. Don't get me wrong, its your stuff and that's what Slannesh are all about, but the whole naked female miniatures thing irks me some what, the hobby doesn't need it. It's kinda funny to me that this model will bother more people that the one that I converted to look like he's bolted someone else's face over his, or the many "skinned" face trophies that I have modeled on my bikes...weird. The_Chaplain Posted September 10, 2014 Share Posted September 10, 2014 I actually quite like that model-- the daemoness mounted on the chassis reminds me a lot of the late HR Geiger-- his custom microphone stand for the lead singer of Korn comes to mind. Also, the use of a sanguinary guard chest as a bare torso? Good call-- it has the necessary bulk to convey astartes physiology but also looks rigid enough that it could just be what the subdermal black carapcace could look like. I haven't decided if want to convert the other bikers more in line with the Lord's looks or not. I'd have to cut up the bikers I have now, hmmmm, but they would be "unique". Decisions decisions. @The_Chaplain:The torso is actually a GS mold of the Sanguinator's chest. So I guess I COULD make more to convert my other bikers.
