Any examples of defaced armour markings?

I was wondering if there were any examples anyone knows of for defaced markings on armour? Either scratched out Aquillas for power armour pilfered by Chaos Marines. Or perhaps chapter insignias obliterated by renegades.

Basically, it's not completely removed but clearly someone tried.

If nothing shows up I'll at least post up my attempt. Cheers.

Don't have pics, but there was a tank in one of the FW Masterclass books that had defaced aquilas and whatnot. They used some kind of dremel tip to tear it away, so you could just see the outline but it looked all torn up. Pretty cool effect. I think on the same tank, they used some weathering techniques to make the old armor designations looked like they'd been scratched at, but were still barely visible. Again, cool effect and helped tell the story of a tank, looted by the rebels. Let's see yours, though.

The early versions of the Red Corsairs was basically just loyal marines with red crosses painted over their or scratched out chapter insignia.

Not sure in which book the pictures were, I think it might have been Eye of Terror or maybe one of the Collector's Compendium books. Was basically just a few deep scratches from a hobby knife over the aquila abd shoulder pads mostly though.

You could look into Traitor Guard conversions, you'll probably find some good ideas for inspiration there too.

For one guy you could carefully cut between the chest and aquilas fold it half over and add scratch marks behind the folded over piece as though the guy has been trying pry it off but couldn't be bothered to finished. There must be lazy marines too. Or having him charging into battle still trying to rip it from his chest.

I used old Tactical bits for making some of my Night Lords.  Just cut slashes and marks into the aquillas as well as using a hand drill to make small round indentations for bolt / solid slug hits.

I believe the term I've seen multiple times around here is giving the armor the "ol' Talos Valcoran treatment".
