It's too white for me. I prefer to have a bit of green thrown in there like this:

My personal opinion aside though, looks very good. I nice change from all those Urban and Desert maps you usually find at my store (I try to get the icy table every time I am there).

I would like to see an aerial few of the whole thing though.

Frontline gaming has put out a 6x4 mat that these bits would look great on!! It's a snowy wonderland of killing your opponents!! The site seems to be bugging out, otherwise I would post a linky...

End of Line

I have see that mat and I almost purchased it, I agree though it will work nicely and will not collect dirt and stains like the felt I have now, but oh well.

Here is an aerial shot with the additional pieces I finished, threw in some more models for scale. Green contrast from trees and rock pieces should help. The snow covered pieces do not show it well, but they are more crystal like structures than ice. Still have about 6 pieces to go, so back to work. Lighting is funky in that room and dealing with white is always a pain because of glare.

Finished another couple pieces, didn't get as far as I wanted but I did take a picture with different light so the color is better represented. This one is to help show off the sparkles. yes thats right I have sparkles in my terrain....

I just felt a tremor in the Warp. It is the Emperor. He approved this.

Somebody needs to photoshop an image of the Emperor showing a thumbs up with the phrase I APPROVED THIS MESSAGE, LOL

A little off-topic: the fire on the rocket is a nice touch, but it looks to even and clean. If looking at it far away it looks like a very stylish Missile launcher, not like fire biggrin.png

I think that rocket flame is a bought item, that is why it is so clean, mass production.

If not, that is an awesome job. Even if it is store bought then it still looks awesome.

Gotta give me some more time for anything more complex than that biggrin.png

That model was my first attempt at using Green Stuff, could have been a little more irregular like flame, but 40k years from now they have solid fuel scientifically calculated down to the last granular particle, not a single plume of wasted energy would be allowed, thus a perfect cone of thrust. :) .

I am pretty much done with the table will post some pictures later today.

YEAH!! Looks great Vrox!!

Here's that mat just for those who might be interested:

This has been a great inspiration for me as I am getting this mat in a couple of weeks (I hope) So seeing this kind of terrain and now knowing the ease of creating it, has me inspired to get moving on project #538-33 ... *falls over*

Glad to have been able to Inspire, though it is pretty easy if you keep at it, I spent a bunch of prep time getting every piece shaped and painted before I posted the first piece. So I only had to glue the felt on top and cut it to shape. Don't want to un -inspire but want to set expectations.  All in all it took me about 30 hours to finish the whole table. 6 forest pieces. 2 rocky outcroppings and 7 foam shaped ice/crystal pieces.  2 of the later not shown. This was my first attempt at table terrain so if I did it again it would probably go much faster. I also added some detail that does not show up without close ups, such as ice cycles off the overhangs and such.
