My wife has gone away for the weekend and so i have decided I'll have a whole weekend dedicated to hobbying!!

My aim is to finish off all the Dark Angels I have at present.

So here's a list of what I need to do:

Partially painted: Sammael, Beliel, 3 bikes and a vindicated.

Just needs bases done: Deathwing Knights

Only undercoated: 3 bikes and a land speeder.

Here's a picture once I set everything up:

Here's a picture of wip of Sammael as I stop to make dinner:

I'll post more as the weekend progresses

Very nice! Keep it going... keep the wife away as long as you have to!

On a side note, I have Sam as well but never put him together yet and that sword arm scares me for transportation. It really looks like it could rip off pretty easily (I have the resin version).

Good start :)

Do I spot a xenos creature in the background?> :)

indeed, it appears to be species 1149 known only as the boxus sitsus. They were left alone by the imperium after a failed crusade ended with many broken object and shredded papers

Thanks guys. Yes the xenos soon had to chased back to where she came from. Her curiosity nearly killed Sammael!

Well I based a few units before breakfast this morning. Here's the pic.

Whilst I wait for the grass to dry I'm going to start the Land Speeder.

Thanks

Tim

Just breaking for lunch. so I thought I'd post a wip of the land speeder. TBH I thought that I would of finished it before now. I dry brushed mechanicus standard grey and it looked horrible so I had re base the model. The lights need quite a bit of work yet. I haven't started the highlighting yet. It's looking like it will take at least half the afternoon to complete it. Obviously need to tidy up the stray spots of paint as well.

A friend is coming over tonight for a couple of small games so I had to go out and get some sort of gaming table. I decided on 2 decorating tables. I am using jenga blocks for line of sight and my imperial knight as a statue. Due to this I haven't got much more painted. I've started the high lights on the Land speeder. but that's about it.

I'v finished the land speeder. It's the most I have ever highlighted. In fact I normally go out my way to not highlight as I'm not very good at it. I have another 3 bikes to more practice at it. Hopefully the more I do it the more I'm comfortable with it.

Just finished a watcher in the dark. Well apart from the base but as I'll be using in battle tonight I'll base it afterwards. I actually feel the highlighting is alright. Well in contrast to the land speeder anyway.

Day three and last day of my hobby weekend. It was a slow start and all I've done before I break for lunch is the wings and icons of the ravenwing bikes and gluing the sand on the watcher in the dark.

Thanks Prot. I've really found it enjoyable and really relaxing. I'm hoping I can do this about once every 2 months. I may need to persuade the wife a bit as I work every other weekend so we normally spend the weekends I have off together.

I'm breaking for my dinner. I've carried on with my ravenwing bikes since lunch and I'm quite surprised at how much I'm enjoying painting them. When I first painted them (I stripped them around 2 - 3 months ago due to not liking how they looked) I found it quite a bore. Not sure why it's different know but I may now want to actually invest in building up my ravenwing. I have also finished basing the watcher in the dark. Based and undercoated another watcher. I still have a lot to do on the bikes and may not finish them tonight, but I will try.

Tim

So I've called it a night and that had brought my hobby weekend to an end. So I'm down the pub having a beer. I didn't do much after I came back from dinner. All I done was start the cloak of the ravenwing sergeant and put the base coat on the watcher in the dark on.

Thanks for all the comments guys.

Tim
