plastic sisters?

Recommended Posts

Wow, I missed something, the whole premis of my Order was that one of the Sisters, who was the only survivors of a boarding assault, was part or an order. Upon finding out whe was orignally form Fenris, and finding a holy site near Fenris, became the leader of a new order.

Plastic SoB would help me so much with my idea. I know some people will say what I imagine is in no way in line with real sister fluff, but I can dream. And I don't/never intend to go crazy with the wolfy bits. Just a little this that here and there. Like axes, and dimond shapes on breastplates and such. They are still SoB after all.

Look at this way: if people can run Dorian Heresy theme armies, alternate universe Sisters (or "what-if" sort of idea) are not too insane to consider or play.

One of the other ideas I've had was to build TWO Sisters armies, one of the Order as they were originally, and the other after their Shrine World was spat out of the Warp 888 years after it was pulled in and they've gone mad and think that Khorne is the Emperor's wrath given form and are purging the galaxy of all "Heresy".

It may be heretical of me to say this, but this idea made me genuinely smile.

It was definitely heretical for me to come up with the idea, but I figured if I was to ever make an army that was super fluffy to use against any other army that would definitely be it. Plus it has better logic than most "lol, sexy slaanesh sisters" things I've seen. I mean 888 years of constant fighting while trapped in the warp is enough to even drive a Marine mad.

Eight hundred and eighty eight years would kill a Sister, since they consider thirty to be veteran, and three hundred to be ancient. tongue.png

Except it's in the Warp and Khorne has been shown to resurrect people (well Orks and Daemons) there before (he doesn't let them die, makes it so they never need to eat and can never sleep). :P

And as a result slowly drives them insane due to the constant urge to spill BLOOD FOR THE BLOOD GOD (had too it was too good of an opportunity)!

That's generally the idea. They go nuts, think Khorne is actually the Emperor's anger manifest and go on a "heretic" purging spree through the Imperium when the Shrine World re-enters real space.

Hmm...thinking about it now, I'd like to see some Tzeentch-influenced sisters. Due to them being "witch hunters" and working with the Ordo Hereticus the most, seeing them fall to the (enlightened to the cause of the) preeminent psyker faction of chaos would be a nice reversal of fortunes.

Prey upon their hope or their need to search out the truth and uncover secrets and you have a pretty good means to do it.

My Order of the Sacred Tome believe that the Emperor has set them on a quest to gather the shattered fragments of his great work. They believe that the great work is a collection of all knowledge of magic powers in the galaxy, and that it is lodged in the heads of psykers and heretics.

They do not know that the Saint who gave them this quest was actually the Changeling in disguise, although he did proscribe their uniform: Blue robes with yellow/gold accents.

Oh my! Should they ever run into Thousand Son Marines :p

Now I'm fully on the road to disappointment (known as Hope) for a Plastic Sisters Release. Or at least Sisters of Silence. Forgeworld don't fail me now! (especially after seeing that Imperial Fists Contemptor Dread...)

I don't expect Sisters of Silence to really feel Sororitas-y honestly (I mean have you seen the HH Guard Equiv? They don't really look like your standard Guardsmen).

And because I don't expect GW to unmuck Sisters anytime soon I've started updated my fan dex stuff for 7th. When it's done I'll be happy to share it with anyone who wants it (and if people want it I'll be happy to make a topic for it).

s'what we have a HGR forum for. msn-wink.gif

You know, it is actually possible to have a Slaaneshi-themed army without it being some teenager's wet dream come true. Slaanesh is the God of Excess in All Things, not just pleasure. Perfection, hubris, a desire for power, fame or adulation - whether these desires are dark (such as infamy from a series of murders) or simply one driven to strive for them. It's why Slaanesh is probably the easiest of the gods to fall prey to.

That said, I'm looking at three different ideas:

* The first is just an army that takes the "purge the heritic" theme a bit too far to the point that their arms and armor make them appear as though they're made of living flame or molten metal.

* The second is less a Sisters idea and more a series of militia and auxillary forces outfitted by the Raptors Space Marine Chapter near their homeworld, As such they'd actually wear things like camo and use stealth and scouting tactics (allied Raptors detachment with Issodon as warlord or an allied Raven Guard detachment with Raven Guard characters joining select units only for deployment/the first turn, like Shrike with Seraphim to allow them to infiltrate).

* The final idea is truly heretical: an order following a radical (secretly heretical) Inquisitor that has "found evidence" that the Emperor of Mankind is actually Malal, the Renegade Chaos God and believe that by continuing to purge the galaxy of witch and daemon alike in His name their Emperor will one day rise from His Golden Throne and lead his people in a final confrontation against the other Gods of Chaos.

The last would get no support from the Sisters at all, they'd simply execute him the moment he suggested that the Emperor was anything other than what scripture states him to be.

The first one would be pretty awesome, and there's no reason for them not to be loyalists other than that of "where did they get the fancy junk?"

The second one aren't Sisters so should probably be talked about in the AM or Agents forum.

Miko-sama, the second idea I'd still be using the sisters models and rules, but I hear ya. As for the last, nothing says they would openly admit it. I actually had forgotten about this idea until I read your Thousand Sons-ish Sisters and never fully fleshed out the idea to make them less heretical. The first two were purely loyalist, though I suppose the first could also have fallen into line with non-Tyranid/non-Orc Xenos or (unknowingly) the Gods of Chaos with sufficient fleshing out.

I also imagine your Sisters look something like this?

Fulkes, if it weren't such an overdone idea (the Slaanesh thing), I wouldn't mind giving a shot at fleshing it out further. Either with Imperial Edict in mind or possibly an Inquisitor whose daemonhosts (if those even still exist - last I played was 3rd) are actually daemonettes, steeds, etc. by giving him/her the summoning powers.

Oh, hhear that? I'm a -sama now! hehe

Actually, I ended up going with black armour to tie them in with other Sisters forces, so they look more like this;

The other reason is that my Inquisitor wears red robes in honour of her Mechanicus ties, so I didn't want to risk confusing things.
