Legion Smack Talk Thread

I can assure you that the exploits of the XX are recorded in the Codex Astartes. Just not among the generally suggested procedures.

More fool you then. U.S. XXth were clearly a very effective force, so there must've been merit in our methods.

I heard a horrible, dreadful rumour that three primarchs and a demon couldn't kill my Lord, obviously not for a certain Primarchs wasted efforts on numerous occasions, but you have to respect a tryer. Oh by the way, nice one for not telling Girlyman we were on/escaped from your flagship, kudos to you my Vylas

Alpha legion, no matter how many heads they grow they all suck, they are the ONE legion, I would like to see wiped out by a horde of Nids, then again though, can you immagine nids with specialist infiltration abilities, then again im pretty sure the last nid player i fought against it was actually the AL who had infiltraded them on a molecular level.........dam space weasles.

Your Primarch only lives because it was beneath Vulkan to kill the mewling wretch. My unarmoured lord bested your so-called "primarch" in his full battleplate. Allowing him to wallow in his own self-loathing is more fitting punishment for his crimes than the peace of death.

"So all the victims who screamed beneath Lord Curze's claws on Maccrage, on Terra herself, on worlds all across the Eastern Fringe...all those corpses, all that suffering, all because the oh-so-compassionate Drake valued his own...'moral purity' higher than their lives. And to you, this is a source of pride?"
Ah but brother - the Sons of Vulkan well know that their pride is misplaced, for it lies in a man who hides his true strength from his son's and shuns the brotherhood of his kin - instead it is among the mewling weakness of humanity he fibss comfort... The warrior who proclaims to be a great protector is in reality no more than a glorified nursemaid.

Those victims are on the hands of the Lord of the First, who brought him to those worlds. Curze was a monstrosity, and his continued existence lies on the hands of many. Horus could have stopped him before he fell, Dorn knew the depths of his madness but did nothing. And you seek to place the blame on Vulkan alone?

At least our dad isn't a violent drunkard who takes pride in the slaying of his brothers.

The warrior who proclaims to be a great protector is in reality no more than a glorified nursemaid.

Them theres fighting words brother.... and if it was anyone else but Vulkan you were talking about id fear for your safety, but alas we all know the gene-seed of Salamanders is a little 'slower' than the rest of us :P

Pshaw, maybe when your legion doesn't have a mutant for a primarch and go crazy when they smell blood we can talk about genetic degradation. cool.png

@Saphrael: I hate to say this, but the Lion "vanishes" right before the Scouring. If the HH series (and expected Scouring series) follows the established path, the Lion returns to Caliban immediately after the siege of Terra and finds the planet held by traitorous Dark Angels (though admittedly, it is hard to tell one traitorous Dark Angel from a supposed loyal Dark Angel) and in the following battle breaks the planet in half and falls to Luthor. so as it stands, the Lion is unable to aid Russ during the Scouring.

Which he lead along with Guilliman. Point, Wolves.

Actually, the older lore just states that the Lion returned to Caliban after the battle of Terra, it doesn't state immediately after. There is plenty of wiggle room in the timeline to do more interesting things with the Dark Angels (indeed, with many legions) and so far Black Library and Forgeworld has shown a willingness to do so, which I applaud.

Once again a wolf boasting about something that he doesn't really have a right to boast about.

Leave it to a Dark Angel to try and turn wiggle room into a plausible excuse...

"What, the Lion? He's...in the shower. I'll have him call you back when he gets out!

Okay guys, that bought us some wiggle room. How are we going to explain what happened here?

*Hours later*

Seriously, the best we have is that he is shinning his sword!? Screw it, paint the armor different, say Chaos did it, and let's never speak of the Jawas again"

You fools take pride in only the kill. But where is the true purpose of the Great Crusade? To uplift humanity into it's rightful place as ascendant species. Humanity can only do this by learning all the knowledge in the galaxy. Then, we truly will take our place as Lords of The Galaxy. The Thousand Sons, it seems, are the only legion that follow this path, shepherding ignorant worlds into the light, and extinguishing those who would challenge Humanity's Manifest Destiny. Sad to say, that only one legion has pursued this objective while the rest are content to bask in their bloodlust. We Thousand Sons are not only the paragons of war, but the paragons of this righteous crusade.

No, knowledge corrupts, it is far more terrible than a simple weapon, it is justification.

Knowledge was the catalyst for the devastating civil mankind has ever faced.

With all your knowledge you and your kin are just as guilty as the Word Bearers.

Knowledge in itself is not evil, only those whose use it. And I laugh at the irony of a Blood Angel lecturing a Thousand Son on the use of forbidden knowledge. For the Edict of Nikea has not gone unbroken amongst your ranks. The difference, however, is that the Thousand Sons know of what they use, and use it with the discipline and care it deserves while the Blood Angels lost their grace and humanity because there leader had died. Speak what you will of the events of Nikaea and Prospero but know this Blood Angel; The Thousand Sons never abandoned their beliefs when faced with adversity, while the Blood Angels abandoned all forms of discipline and even sanity when they meet defeat.

1) I'll grant you that cousin the Thousand Sons did not abandon their beliefs, now they are only enslaved by it.

2) And 10,000 years going strong, you will never understand the loss of a Primarch changed one, only the abandonment of one.
