I haven't aged in iver a year, but from reading the new rule book and listening to people online it appears that there are all sorts of different detachments with special rules out there. It got me wondering, what would 30k detachments look like, knowing forge worlds love of rules.

So what sort of detachments can you see wing fluffy in 30k?

Shattered legions

Uses the standard force org chart

Each unit must be assigned a legion, it doesn't matter if they are loyalist or traitor (so you can have word bearers and ultramarine a if you want)

You can not have more non troop units than you have troop units for each legion (for example if your army have two iron hand troop choices then it can have a maximum of two iron hand choices from HQ, elite, fast attack and heavy support).

Your warlord must belong to the legion which has the most units.

Use the allies in the age of darkness matrix per squad, with your main legion being determined by your warlord. However traitor legion units can never be better than distrusted allies. (For example if you had an iron hands warlord and some emperors children units, then the emeprors children would count as distrusted allies rather than sworn bothers)

All units gain preferred enemy traitors

You may not include any primarch as a lord of war
