Revered Standard?

So, I've just really started in on a project for my Dark Angels army that I've wanted to do for a long time. I've magnetized all of my standard bearers so that I can swap out their respective company banners (Deathwing, Ravenwing, and 3rd Company for my greenwing) for any of the three Sacred Standards or the Chapter Standard.

I started this project around when I got the Dark Vengenace box set and decided to turn the Deathwing and Ravenwing models in the box into command squads, so I only bought 7 standards (the bit from the Space Marine Command Squad box). Three the company standards, three for the sacred standards, and the chapter standard.

So I originally thought my only challenge was the Ravenwing standard. In the below picture you can see I just found a detail image of the Ravenwing company icon and used that as the decal for their banner.

When the codex came out and the new models revealed the actual design for the Ravenwing standard, I removed the decal and ended up hand-drawing the design with a micro ink pen and painting it in by hand.

But the codex also introduced another problem... the Revered Standard. Does anyone have any clue what this one looks like? The codex says they're old banners that are preserved in stasis alongside the Sacred standards. But what do you think they would look like? Do you think each company has their own revered standards?

If you want to get the three sacred standards. You can always print them out on to some paper and glue them to a piece of felt.

Punch some holes and install a gromits and ring system. Tada instant banner.

You could them mount a crossbar to the standard stick and hotswap flags.

I have the three sacred standards like this

There is only one possible answer i can give to your question:

Note the unique shape of the DA symbol here, it is a more lavish version of the original Dark Angels symbol of the 1st edition. Note also the colors: red symbol over white on a black background with red trim. Finally note the small details, the angular shapes, the pommel looks like a double-headed eagle.

To me this is the very first thing that I think of when I think of Dark Angels Banner.

Now here are some more basic banners of the era. Notice how the symbol is different from the modern DA symbol.

@JeffJedi: Oh man, that is such a sweet idea. The Revered Banner being an old Legion banner. Thanks! You saved me some money and effort trying to make three different revered standards for each company.

@aura_enchanted: Thanks for the tip, but I've already got my Sacred Standards squared away. I used this bit as a backing for water-transfer decals I made by scanning the 4th edition codex page with the banner images (that allowed photocopying for personal use) and printing them on clear decal transfer paper. Then I magnetized all of the parts so I can swap them on the Standard Bearer on the fly.
