Just got this as well - a bit underwhelmed by the special rules for DW knights, but yeah the Plasma Cannon looks like fun and the mission generator is cool. Still reading this thing at work but in case anyone was wondering..

a DW seargent can indeed take a TH/SS wink.png

Got my hands on a brother's copy of the Bringer of Sorrow expansion, and I thought I'd share some of the juicy bits. I won't be giving away all the information, so it won't be possible to play from just what I say. This is more me giving you guys a taste so you know what to expect.

Plasma Cannon: Like a heavy flamer with infinite ammo, but can explode if it overheats.

Halberd of Caliban: Better than lightning claws in close combat.

Cyclone Missile Launcher: Can fire in two modes, a section-clearing mode like a weak heavy flamer (frag), or a powerful single-shot (krak).

Standard Bearer: Helps other terminators in the same board section win close combats.

Apothecary: Gives a "feel no pain" like save to killed terminators near him, but personally sucks in close combat due to not having a power fist.

Deathwing Knights and Knightmaster: These guys aren't used in the campaign missions, but they include rules for you to use them in the customized missions section. I forget their exact stats, but they're basically close combat specialists. Their weapons don't do that cool Smite move they do in 40k, but they seemed pretty great on their own (Stacking bonuses for being combat veterans and having cool weapons).

15 euros? Odd. It's 15.99 USD. Pretty sure someone's getting screwed on the exchange rate there.

I tend to agree. What from I saw, I'd rather this be a $10 purchase. About the only thing that makes me think this might be worth it is the custom-mission generation rules. I was also honestly a little surprised to get rules for so many things, like the standard bearer and apothecary, so I wasn't THAT disappointed.

Still, would have been nice to have a pdf format of this without the interactive mission display tile (that won't even work with the new heavy weapons) available for purchase so I could have my own copy and actually be able to read it without an apple device.

How's the interactive tile thing? Is it actually cool? I can see that being a big boost, to be honest. Not that I mind the physical tile, but if the interactive one works well, I'd def be interested in trying it out.

I didn't actually play around with the interactive tile, cause I was just looking at it on a buddy's ipad in the GW store (we weren't actually playing a game), but one of the things I thought was crappy was that it didn't have options for the Plasma Cannon or Cyclon Missile Launcher that you just got the rules for.

Yeah, that could be better given the context, but I was thinking for my regular games it could be pretty nice.
