For those interested, I updated my Sanguinary Crusaders Index Astartes article's belief section today. If you haven't read about my chapter it's in my Sig, but if you have, here is the update.

However, when our appointed time to make that sacrifice comes we often miss it. It is when we miss it that the Black Rage takes hold. We failed to live up to His example, and so He reminds us, through the Black Rage. It is not a curse, but a blessing. It is a salvation for us, it is for us to atone for the Sin of Life. Unlike the Blood Angels, the Sanguinary Crusaders often do not think of the Black Rage as a curse. Rather, many of them think of it as an atonement for living when their appointed time of sacrifice has come and passed. They believe that Sanguinius' sacrifice set a precedent for them to follow, and that each of them has an appointed hour in which they will make the ultimate sacrifice for the benefit of the Imperium. It is widely held by the priesthood that living through that appointed hour means that they have selfishly denied the work of their father, and that to have survived it is a great sin. They therefore consider the Black Rage to be the spiritual reminder of their duties, and that it is the path to redemption. In this sense, those that fell to the Black Rage were already damned, and that the Black Rage is actually the only means of salvation.

 

And after drill this weekend, I'll finish building one of my dreadnaughts :p

Today I picked up a bargain bucket of marine stuff (including a metal dreadnought! For dread-socking bad opponents!). After much stripping, rebuilding and kitbashing, they will join my BA army. I do love a good project.

I really want to play the Lucifer Armoured Strike Force, I just can't pull the trigger on a resin tech marine. And the metal ones are so damned expensive in the secondary market.

in the past when looking at a £25 it has been closer to $40. Which then makes it roughy $45-50 I haven't checked the exchange rates until just now, and instead of the £1 = $1.60 it's now $1.12 I may actually look into getting it now.

Yeah I might see if a buddy wants to order something in the near future to hit that £250 mark while the pound is lower. That's probably the only way I'd wind up buying FW stuff.

Oh by the by, I've come across a free list builder site that you don't have to download to build lists etc. Its quite cool. It is a simple search engine of Warhammer 40k list builder, and it pulls up a very user friendly list builder that you can print out. They don't have all the formations yet unfortunately, but if you have any questions they usually reply within 10 minutes! Hope this helps Brothers!

Played two 1k games today for an escalation campaign. I managed to get the Lost Brotherhood in 1k just to try it. First game was against a Decurion. I was getting wrecked the first three turns until my DC dread came on. My opponent charged 4 wraiths into the Dread when it landed and the Dread killed all 4. Completely turned the game around and I won. I even forgot the Chaplain was giving out the +1 attack bonus... 

 

Second game was against some nids. They completely overwhelmed my 3 DC squads. Had both my DC Chaps, 2 DC, 2 drop pods, and my Dread that just came in at beginning of turn 3. Hive Tyrant charged my Dread and whiffed... my DC dread then slaughtered the Tryant. Almost came back and won, but it was too late at that point. Again I forgot about the 12in attack bubble... I was told by an observer after the game that I should ask to look at my opponent's codex if something sounds too good to be true... so not sure what the nid player was getting away with but I doubt it was intentional or too big of a deal. A lot of her units did seem to have oddly high initiatives...

 

 

DC Dread MVP hands down. If your opponent doesn't deal with it properly, they are screwed. The 6 attacks even when being charged is nasty.

 

Noticed the DC chaps don't allow themselves to reroll wounds... lame, but it seems like they get the plus 1 attack since it says "everyone in the DC unit" I believe.

 

The extra 6in move is not always your friend with The Lost.
