So follow up: There is now a "*" that signifies there is a product delay in the US and Canada. I don't remember seeing it but it could have been there the whole time. CustServ for GW confirmed this to me.

\sigh

Definitely wasn't there but ultimately unsurprising considering the state of international relations here in the US.

Looking good, but no yellow helmet Karhedron?

Thanks. I decided against yellow helmets as Assault Intercessors are listed as Battleline so in my head that means red helmets, even if they are basically assault marines without jump packs,

I did the same.  Technically I believe they're supposed to have the yellow helmets, but I went with battle line trumping battlefield role.

Backstory: We had an event up in Seattle recently where everyone received a convention model. Afterwards we were invited to participate in a painting/modeling contest for prizes. So this guy was my entry to that contest.

I know some people wanted to know if the tilt shield was sculpted on to Aster Crohne or a separate peice. Thankfully, for those that didn't like it, it is a separate peice.

I really do like this model and can't wait to get working on it when I've finished my Lemartes. It's got so many nice details on it such as padding on the inside back of the neck armour, which probably will never get seen but still a nice touch.

What red is that again?

That is Army Painter Pure Red. To be honest with you, I use it to keep my army consistent but I would not recommend it. The colour is lovely but the finish is awful. Army Painter comes out quite glossy compared to GW paints and this latest can seems worse than usual, you can actually see the shine in the photo.

What this means is that other colours applied over the top of it rub off with even gentle handling because they don't adhere to the surface properly. I have taken to applying matt varnish over the base just to provide a decent surface for the detail paints to key to. Still, the effort is worth as it does come out really well when shaded with magenta ink and highlighted up through assorted oranges and yellows.
