Sure I don't disagree, I just pretty much exclusively use LAG tbh. Even without we still get hit less and save more frequently and in either case 2 failed saves kills a model with no spill over.

I have tried AI once or twice and didn't hate it, and I'd really prefer us to be more than just one trick ponies for our Detatchments as I think it's just an unhealthy way to approach the game if they want to make detatchments meaningful.

Give us the Red Thirst stuff from LAG as our Army Rule like how SW got their own Army Rule and I'd be REALLY excited.

100% agree there and said it since start of edition, the red thirst is THE defining trait of all blood angels, it absolutely should be the army rule. 

But anyway, I do still think in a straight fight the SG do just fine vs victrix.. there's really no getting around the fact the victrix have the ability to take TWO beatstick characters, one of which gets bonus victrix atm though lol. 

As I said, I'd like them to maybe come back and give us a sanguinary ancient character, make him an epic hero and the bearer of the chapter banner much like the ultramarines just got and we'd be in a better place instantly - especially as he'd be in addition to the 6 sanguinary guard in our case (like cato)

its the same for victrix - works the same as company heroes too, or if you mean they get it vs everything where SG is melee only, yeah, thats in my summary above. But again, company heroes get it vs both too. SG get -1 to both hit and wound but only for melee.

Small detour from comparing to Victrix, and perhaps slightly off topic; Saber has been absolutely cooking with the BA champion in SM2. (not available yet, just visible via the test server)

 

Now while this is a tactical skin, the parts of it will be available for assault, and a matching Jump Pack has already been datamined, though no ginormous wings that'll obstruct the view. Speaking of datamining, it seem head-swaps are also on the way, with one of the new unhelmeted heads being this guy.

 

 

Do note that this is a WIP, and will most likely have a full head of hair as the texture on the scalp includes the hair texture.

Hope everyone is well.

 

Today my Blood Angels got a home of their very own and no longer need to compete with rent or a mortgage.

 

Will get them a display case at some point but they will have a shelf and a desk in the music studio/ study/ warhammer studio.

 

Have moved to Sydney too and after burning out trying to learn how to paint and do a demi company by brush to heavy metal standard in 6 months/ travelling and being busy I am very, very excited to finish some of my BA projects.

 

Will finish the DC squad, scouts and those SG, Captain and Astorath (SG and DC half done) soon.

 

Will add a landraider, the shooty primaris tank and some AT next year and call that a job well done.

 

Have been very blessed to get this far and this project had 2 false starts over 32 years so nearly there.

Don't forget the Aggressors' Bolt Storms -1AP against the nearest target.  I'm not sure which Detachments and Leader/abilities are available to Blood Angels, but the newest Detachment for Ultramarines (Blade of Ultramar) especially with the already-able-to Advance or Fallback, Shoot, and Charge you get from Calgar (who in the Blade allows Tactical Doctrine all day every day) on his unit now extending to every unit makes Aggressors even easier to deliver to both the closest unit plus an ability to punch them.

Fall back and shoot is nice for regaining Charge bonuses, but its Advance and Shoot that shines with the slowpokes (Aggressors/Terminators/Centurions).  Move 4-5, Advance D6", Charge 2D6 is an average of about a 16-17" charge threat range that still allows shooting on units that can vaporize large screens with their shooting before they charge the elites with power fists and so on.
