I avoid having to figure out what to do about the new 32mm bases by assembling 40 terminators that will keep me busy for a year. Then I can decide if in going to rebar or live with mixed units.

In my own progress, I'm waiting for Texas to realize it's fall and actually cool down to some priming weather.

Spent yesterday evening/night doing assembly!

Sadly, it was an IKEA chest of drawers... :rolleyes: Anyone have any advice on how to base it?

Quad gun coming soon.

Back when I was a Scout, I used to paint the shoulder trims black. Marines, bikes, the lot. These days though I give it a miss as I haven't the patience anymore and I tip my hat to those who still do! :thumbsup:

I almost didn't! But it really just beings the scheme together.

The occasional mk6 flat pad looks great though, like on my assault squad:

Which were fully painted by me and not just repurposing some existing eBay BA. Though the sarge and heavy flamer dudes were all me in that Tac squad :)

Earlier this week I bought some Retributor Armor and Liberator Gold, and put them to use last night on some of my Sanguinary Guard! Gotta say, I love the way this gold looks. I used the GW AoS painting tutorial on Youtube for painting the gold armor, but I don't have Auric Armor (only the old version of it, Burnished Gold).

Is the Auric Armor better than Burnished Gold, or is it just a new name for it?

I really wish I would have gotten this new gold before I worked on my Centurion!

Anyways, here is a sample of him:

Aye, retributor armour is gorgeous. Shining gold with enough pigment to cover.

I found it still needs a base of Gehenna's though.

I followed the GW AoS tutorial, and it worked beautifully for me. Basically they base coat in Retributor > complete wash with reikland (Ogryn) flesh > layer in Auric Armor (Burnished) gold > highlight in liberator gold.

Do you do Gehenna Gold base as a substitute for the wash?

@Charlo

I actually found that in the Retrubitor gold, but it was super easy to mix back in.
