Wispy
http://i58.tinypic.com/2znwh1e.jpg Having a bit of a play around with this plasma Hunter, What do you think? Slight increase in wolfiness? n.b, Paintjob not finished so looks a little rough around the edges!! I like it. Struck a great balance there. Ullr Direfang
I like how people say they aren't finished painting something when it is by far better then what I would call a finished product.... people who like to paint..... Squark
I'm going to echo everyone else here; You've struck a nice balance between the sometimes excessive wolf trophies and keeping the unique elements of the Space Wolves. Also, I love the freehand work. Wish I could do half that well. Frater Cornelius
Looks Celtic to me. For me it would be perfect if there was more green and a tiny bit more randomness. Something like a pelt and a Caliban Green or Waaagh Flesh green kneepad with a golden celtic knot. But that's just me with my germanic and celtic preferences :P You keep your nordic look there buddy, looks half decent ;) Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/297299-space-wolves-that-arent-too-wolfy/page/2/#findComment-3821977 Share on other sites

MithrilForge
looks great, honestly, trophies, pelts and dangly things aside, if you paint them in grey's and make sure the right colour pack markings are there then i think your free to express your own views and dreams for your wolfy army The second model your working on looks really good with the Celtic styled markings. i look fwd to more from you! cheers, Mithril Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/297299-space-wolves-that-arent-too-wolfy/page/2/#findComment-3822407 Share on other sites

FenrisWolf
Looks great! Make sure you post pics of the squad when they're complete! And individuals as you do them, it's great (imho) to see other ideas! Jochteas
Not to wine (wining a little bit) painting 15 friggen trinkets on every single space wolf sometimes is just frustrating. I'm half tempted to do as other say and just get a standard marine unit and mix it with them to stretch it out a bit. TheWolfGuard
I use the GW Paints, Prime white, Spray The Fang, Airbrush Russ grey base coat, Highlight with fenrisian as everyone does!, but i Dont wash the model, I paint the shade directly into the cracks, Mostly Doesnt need any touching up with russ grey if youre careful Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/297299-space-wolves-that-arent-too-wolfy/page/2/#findComment-3824613 Share on other sites
