BA apothecaries?

Basic fluff is that Sanguinary Priests have come about as apothecaries had to take on more of a spiritual role due to the focus of the Chaplaincy on dealing with the Death Company :).

Blood Angels codex does indeed deal with it more- although 4chanD6 (or whatever its called) and 40kwikipedia also cover it pretty well (yes... I said 4chanD6, they do occasionally have nuggets of wisdom buried in their silliness and irreverence).

1d4chan. Yeah it is a cool site if you want to check up on something real quick. Quite funny articles as well.

They Sanguiniary priests are equal in status to Chaplains and they are also in conflict with the Chaplain's ideology.

The Chaplains say that the Red Thirst should be suppressed, the Sang Priests say that it should be wrested to the control of the Marines.

No they dont. Thats from that fandex hoax.

Nope.

"Whilst the sermons and ceremonies of the Chapters Chaplains exhort their battle brothers to reject the anger within, those performed by the Sanguinary Priests call upon the Blood Angels to embrace the Red Thirst and wrest it to their control, unleashing its strength to buttress theirs when the day is darkest and the battle goes ill."
