FenrisWolf
Brothers of the Fang, How are you modeling an IP on a Thunderwolf? I wanted to use an IP and cut it to mount on some Mythicast Thunderwolves that I have, but I fear that is beyond my abilities, plus my one IP model is metal. So I was considering using just the servo arm backpack from it and using the pieces from a Techmarine servo harness to make 2 more backpack servo arms. But I lose many of the mechanicum details. What are you doing about this? Post pics if you've got them too! Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/297437-mounted-ironpriests/ Share on other sites
skeletoro
I've bought all the bits for a project I'm soon to embark on, but haven't yet started it. I'm going to convert maybe 5 mounted iron priests using the following kits: TWC (for doggies) Finecast techmarine x2 (for servo arms, you can get a few servo arms from each techmarine) Iron warriors Mk iii legion marines (torsos, legs, helms, some arms) Iron warriors medusa immortals squad (some arms and shoulder pads). Various other bits from my bits box. I actually plan on selling a few of them (plug plug, PM me if interested ) I plan on putting some pics up when I get started but I've got a few other things I need to finish first Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/297437-mounted-ironpriests/#findComment-3822299 Share on other sites
Jochteas
I think techmarines look super awesome with there 4 trigger limbs and all the gadgetry, so I figure I'd buy some, and attach that servo harness to a TWC dude, and throw on some Tech marine shoulder pads from various space marine pilot sets people sell.and boom. Though currently I'm debating if my Iron Priest needs a helmet or not. Frater Cornelius
Heavy Metal Skullcrushers from WHFB. Heavy Armour, Metal Mounts, add hammers and servo arms and all the other Marine gubbinz and there you go, PURE METAL \m/ Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/297437-mounted-ironpriests/#findComment-3822310 Share on other sites
Baulder
I noticed the pilot from the stormwolf kit would make an awesome IP but sadly I used mine for the stormwolf kit (been looking for spares but they seem hard to come by). I did keep a shoulder pad back so I'll be using this and some bits from the LR gunner for the armour. Then an IP backpack converted a bit plus some servitor/techmarine bits. Also been saving up all the robotic parts for TWC sets so that the wolves will be as techy as possible. Jochteas
Is there any reason I can't use a full Techmarine servo-harness on my Iron priest? I kinda like the look of 2-4 much hands all about over just 1. FenrisWolf
I was going to do the same Jochteas. As long as you are clear that he does't have the additional attacks, I'd say its fine. It does look cooler! Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/297437-mounted-ironpriests/#findComment-3822694 Share on other sites
Evilmerlin
I had some old metal Enginseers lying around. Snipped off on vent on a marine power pack and green stuff the Enginseer's servo arm on. Then just mount it on the regular marine on the TW. Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/297437-mounted-ironpriests/#findComment-3823273 Share on other sites
