Castellan Blackmane Posted October 9, 2014 Share Posted October 9, 2014 I thought it might be fun to start a thread and everyone post what they believe is the absolute anathema of every race and even as specific as unit in the game. The answer can be as general as another race or a certain weapon or psychic power or even a tactic. For example: Grey Knights are obviously the hammer of daemons. However I believe the TH/SS termies are the utter weakness of grey knights. So Necrons? Imperial guard? Chaos space marines? What have you guys got. Lets bring the thread to life! FTFY More seriously though, the known grudge matches between former legions aside, I think there are very few anathemas on an army scale. Plasma weapons however are the bane of any type of marine (unless they have storm shields). They really should be AP3, since TDA was developed from protective suits for work in plasma reactors. Axagoras Posted October 27, 2014 Share Posted October 27, 2014 3++ invuls on most dont care about a demo cannon, but my secret is the rad grenade, 2 orbitals, 8 plasma shots, and then charging in with 10 thunder hammer attacks at ws 6 and 20 s5 rending hits that all should reroll to hit (preciseness). Their bases are so big you will be lucky to get more than 3 under the template and between scatter and Storm Shields you will be lucky to kill one. Yeah you can pin them, but they are Ld9, so the odds of it happening are very low. The only way to really deal with them is with hordes of attacks that wound easily like Sternguard. The problem is that even then they are on top of you on turn 2, so unless you have an answer to their assault they are just going to kill your shooting.
