See, some shadowy tidbits of Primarchs from time to time is okay. We know Sev and Aximand are high on the chain, so seeing their dads once in a while isn't gonna kill me. The Purge was another good example of that, where we see Dorn for a short minute. It didn't take away from the story, and it added some character to the Talgron. That was fine.

Reading Vulkan Lives was a very painful marathon of how swiftly Primarchs can be too much. Unremembered Empire as well (yeah, I said it. Sue me.)

Seriously, someone needs to trademarks that "Primarch Galactic Teleport system"...

Where is Russ? He's gone to Prospero. Nope, fight's done. He's on Terra. Why? Chess. Oops, nevermind, he's fighting the Alpha Legion, totally cut off in the middle of nowhere. I think.

Now look over here. There's the Lion. What's he doing? Waving Hi to the Death Guard, and punching his own Chaplain's head off. Nope, now he's on Tsagulasa, scrapping with Curze. Off he goes to Ulramar. But where's Curze?

Hanging out with Vulkan. But Vulkan is gone now. Where did he go? Ultramar too, on the meteor crash express. Curze? I think he went back to the Lion. Yep, there he is, on Macragge. Why? *shrug* Nope, now he's gone. Nope, now he's back. Wait...

Now look over here. There's Morty. Isstavan? Naw, he's hanging out with Horus. Is he? 'Cuz now he's on Prospero, fighting the Khan. Nope, he's gone, headed to Molech wit Horus. Was that Magnus? Maybe. Not sure. Don't try to track him, he's doing his ghost thing.

Damn, you blinked. Ah, there's poor Corax. How the heck did he get to Terra? Don't know, but he's gone now, went back to Deliverance. Nope, gone again.

Fulgrim? Dude's everywhere. Isstvann, then frolicks off with Perty to the Eye. Now he's a snake. Now he's on Molech? Um, ok.

:cuss.  Who's on first base?

When you plot it all out like that it just looks ridiculous. I'd love to see a map of the Galaxy with each Primarchs path on it. Bearing in mind were barely scratching the half way point in the Heresy, it's a little bit silly.
No, the chess cane after the Alpha Legion. When he went back to Terra. An then he left it again. To chase Horus. And then, if everything pans out, at the end of the war he will be wondering why he didn't make it to Terra on time. And the answer will be because McNeil put him on Terra twice now and then had him leave. For reasons. Because purple Children.

Book 4 is a stand alone book, and not part of a series, such as 1-3. Sure they said book 5, Tempest, would not be out till mid next year.

Seems to be quite a lot in book 4, with a full SA army list, Ad. Mech. & Dark Mech. Knight Households, Titans, and Loyalist Remnant forces, going to be a lot of happy people!

I really want that character builder and the legion relics....

You and me both. Really intrigued about the character builder. Wonder how flexible it will be considering how flexible the options for the Praetor and Centurion already are.

So cool! Some really lovely little bits there. Part of me is a bit sad that the Ultramarines are finally being covered – when I started them back in 2008, a big part of the appeal was that they were unexplored and largely unlooked-at.

However, that small part is very reassured that FW will do a great job. From these preview images and the little behind-the-scenes info we've had, it looks like they've hit a nice balance between keeping the iconic Ultramarine feel while doing something new with them. On a personal note, I'm really relieved to hear that the Ultramarines aren't completely uniform, and that there's some leeway for creativity and freedom between individual Chapters of the Legion – that basically means my Ultramarines, with their personal heraldry and odd equipment, won't be 'wrong'; but will instead fit in nicely. :)

Yeah the character builder has been mentioned for book 4 so that we can make our own preator/centurion/captain within the heresy, especially for legions not yet covered so that players can have ICs that fit the bill.

I wouldnt be surprised at this point if thats what was cut out of it. And if its the biggest book so far ( hot damn, the 3 tomes are already pretty massive) I really hope that they release a small red book along with it.

Same here, however I'm now thinking do I start painting now, or wait until the book comes out...
