depthcharge12
Yeah the character builder has been mentioned for book 4 so that we can make our own preator/centurion/captain within the heresy, especially for legions not yet covered so that players can have ICs that fit the bill. I wouldnt be surprised at this point if thats what was cut out of it. And if its the biggest book so far ( hot damn, the 3 tomes are already pretty massive) I really hope that they release a small red book along with it. I tried converting my little brother into a servitor to carry my books and models around after I used his organs to buy aforementioned things... Waste not, want not eh? GhostMalone
So were all in agreement we want more zahriel and smaller characters and more books like tallaran and the last church. Considering the scope of the galaxy and the war thats burning the imperium to the ground i thought we would have less primarch interactions as generals in war dont usually catch up for tea and coffee every second day Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/297854-warhammer-fest-pics-battlebunnies/page/7/#findComment-3832597 Share on other sites
Aqui
UltraMarines - Very much not the 40K 'vanilla' marines, legion numbering around 250,000 several armies with the legion very much running as specialist armies/chapters than squads. The Invictus are Guillemans' personal guard, very much an elite army strength with the UM's - think 40K Marneus's honour guard in 30K, but many more of them. On a personal note, I'm really relieved to hear that the Ultramarines aren't completely uniform, and that there's some leeway for creativity and freedom between individual Chapters of the Legion – that basically means my Ultramarines, with their personal heraldry and odd equipment, won't be 'wrong'; but will instead fit in nicely. Oh yeah! Pity they weren't a little more specific on when in 2015 "Calth" is coming out though... Fire Golem
I imagine they don't know for sure yet, they're probably yet to finalise everything in it. Aqui
I imagine they don't know for sure yet, they're probably yet to finalise everything in it. I figured it might be something like that. It doesn't prevent me from getting some current FW models and getting a start on the Inceptors/XIII in the new year Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/297854-warhammer-fest-pics-battlebunnies/page/7/#findComment-3832776 Share on other sites
Ordo Machinum
As much as I love the clashes of the Lion and Night Haunter, who were my first inspiration for ZM games, Crimson Fist hooked me with Polux and Golg and Tyr and Perturabo. I wish it could have been a longer battle overall rather than a 141 day waiting period with peeks at Dorn on Terra with Sigismund. Sorry Calth won't get me buying any UM models, but I'll have to get the book. Even the one coming out soon will be on my list, even if they won't have much IF. It is all good reads. Slips
I would hold off on starting a possible legion-only unit. I had a nasty surprise 2 days after deciding to kitbash my own Templar Brethren. (GK Pswords, IF Upgrades, MK III) This thread was that surprise. I just bought some Black Templar bitz from online planning my own Templars. I'll be saving them to mix and increase the squads, or just more members of my first company. Slips
Yeah, no doubt. My reactionary posts in this thread are still very much valid (and those in the BT and IF sub-forums). Those Phalanx Warders though....
