First time vs Necron's, advise appreciated.

Hey folks.

Currently, we're plotting a 2v2 game (3000 pts vs 3000 pts, split 1500 each) for Monday afternoon, but we agreed to do a "blind build" (teammates honour system that you don't "plot" or point share with each other until all lists are submitted, just to keep it interesting).

That being said, I know one of my opponents only has a necron army, and sadly, I've never faced them before.
My teammate will be running either a Tyranid, Vanilla Marine, or a CSM list (his 3 armies). 

Our Rules:
No chatting with anyone until your final list is submitted.
Only 1 flyer per side - we did a draw to see who brings it, I didn't get it. The Necro fellow and my teammate did.


VS Necrons:

What should I be ready for with my Wolves?
What should I consider taking/not taking? (I don't get a flyer, and I sadly, don't have Logan's Chariot either, but I have more than enough of pretty much anything else!)

Necron AV13 wall is:

• A bunch of Skimmers like the Annihilation Barge, Command Barge etc.
• That will Jink (4+ Cover)
• Yet can fire on you with Tesla (which still needs to Snapfire but has Twin-Linked and causes 2 more auto-hits with 6s) or with Passengers
• And have Quantum Shields - AV13 on Front and Sides (AV10 on back) until you score your first Pen - then it drops to AV11

Against such - shoot them from the back preferably with something that Ignores Cover, or Close Combat them with Krak.

 

 

Necron can also field:

• Scarabs - that reduce vehicle AV on all sides by 1 for every Hit (not Wound) and they have 4 Attacks each (but only Str 3 against Troops)
• Gauss weapons - that auto-Glance on a 6

Which can make fielding vehicles tricky, so make sure you screen them with Troops.

 

 

Then you have most Units that have Reanimation - which means if you don't kill the whole Unit then each model killed has a 5+ chance of geeting back up (or a 4+ chance of getting back up if there's a Lord HQ with Res Orb). So try to focus your attacks.

I knew about the resurrection, but didn't know about the reduced AV or auto glancing.
Would it be preferable to run a drop pod list or TWC heavy list against necro's to close the distance, or is there simply not a good enough chance to survive the landing/running across the board?
