I don't know about you guys but I think it is a good edition to be a Blood Angels player. I purchased a lot more stuff beyond these the past couple of weeks and as soon as I manage to make some time for my own models this thread is going to get bombarded with pictures.

You're missing the new terminators.

As much as I love the heraldry, I just can't get over the fact that they are monopose. Plus the fact that I already painted a full ten men assault terminator squad just last month. I will be buying the new librarian for sure though.

I was joking, mostly. When I eventually pick them up, it'll mainly be for the shoulderpads.

The pads, shields and the weapons are incredible. I will probably buy a box at one point to convert them into tactical terminators.

Wow, I never noticed they were one piece kits. What a freaking rip off GW. Only tabard man actually needs that and even then the tabard could be part of the upper torso.

At any rate, I'm really envious of how clean your marines are. All the highlights and such are so crisp. The purity seal on the exterior of the drop pod is amusing.

Yeah funny story that one. You should not touch your models after you varnish them until they are completely dry. I was careless and there was a finger print on the door. I decided that this drop pod was particularly courageous and gifted it with a seal.

I painted this for a guy I know. Knights, it turns out, are quite fun to build. The base is a bit bland I know but he wanted it that way.

A lot of simple tweaks that really make the model look better.  I've also removed the duct from the roof (you've moved it) to make it look less like a hunchback.  You've got a Razorback turret hole, but what have you done behind it?  It looks longer, but I can't tell what magic you've actually worked here.

Got a tutorial or step by step?  Inquiring minds want to know, because this is very successful!

Some chipping and other weathering tomorrow. I don't have a tutorial handy since I did this by stuffing every gap with plasticard and modeling putty but I have some pics if you are interested. I am happy with the result but it takes a good amount of time and spare bits.

This is how I got rid of the front thrusters. Simple yet effective.

The tail extension. Cutting individual rivets and fixing them in place takes some patience. But it is worth it as long as your raven stops looking like Quasimodo. The air intake was cut in half, filed down and repositioned. The small hatches you see are from chimera kits.

Turned out better than I imagined in the end.
