Sigismund. 2000pts. Coming for your head.

In the grim darkness of the far future when I have enough money to justify starting a Horus Heresy army, I'm thinking of running this list. No finesse. No grand strategy. Sigismund and his buddies are coming to make your day way, way worse. (It's also super-efficient money-wise.)

HQ: Sigismund

HQ: Legion Centurion/Primarus Medicae/Artificer Armor/Power Weapon

Troops: Templar Brethren (x9)/Land Raider Phobos/Heavy Flamer

Troops: Templar Brethren (x9)/Thunder Hammer/Land Raider Phobos/Heavy Flamer

Troops: Templar Brethren (x10)/Power Fist/Land Raider Phobos/Heavy Flamer

TOTAL: 2000pts on the nose.

Sigismund rides with the first Land Raider and the Primarus Medicae goes in the second with the thunder hammer champion. We rush towards the enemy lines and use our power weapons on our nicely armored brothers. Vehicles get popped by the Land Raider's lascannons and swarms of enemy marines or cheaper infantry get some heavy flamer attention.

So lend me your opinions, brothers. Is this list at all better than a joke? Or do I simply not have the numbers to counter the tactics of other legions? And if so, how can I reconfigure the list to still revolve around Sigismund and his Templars? Because I am not giving up on that.

Consider giving your templars Melta Bombs. If you were to come up a mechanized list, you'd be caught dead in your tracks. Think about giving the Primus Medicae a Solarite Power Gauntlet for AP1 & other buffs.

Also, while I think your 3 Land Raiders should be able to with their Lascannons, think about how you'll deal with Flyers.

Finally, you have a lot of AP3 Power Weapons, which is nice against MEQ and Weaker. But how will you deal with Terminators? ex: Pride of the Legion Lists that make liberal use of them as troops?

Other than that, nice and Fluffy. I like it :D

Running a Sigismund and Templar Detachment myself. Though its 8 Templars + Sigismund + Primus Medicae all in a LR Phobos.
