FenrisWolf
Has anyone used these? I know a number of groups and tournaments still have issues with ForgeWorld stuff, but 12 terminators and quad lascannons are a nasty idea! Terminator WG full squad plus Termie HQs... Melta resistant, still very difficult to kill with LasCannon, only real threat is MeltaBomb, only slightly more expensive than a Land Raider. I'd use them whenever I can in place of a regular Land Raider, and especially to deliver Assault. I almost always see them used in 30K, unless someone is running like Oribital Assault. skeletoro
they are much better than the standard land raider phobos. The phobos is itself a bit lacklustre but I think the Spartan may be the best one, better even than a crusader. that said, if you want termies in a raider you should probably be taking arjac's shield brothers in which case the Spartan wont be an option. Shield brothers would run alongside a second pack in a Spartan though. It's a shame they both cost a lot of US dollars... A lot of them. skeletoro
no, just one unit. What I meant was two units and two transports. One would be shield brothers in crusader, one would be a unit in the Spartan. I suspect that it is legal to put void claws in a caestus for a turn one deep strike. Rules are a bit iffy. skeletoro
yeah not sure where I stand on that caestus issue. Id probably just ask my opponent before playing but it might be a bit lame to do it eh. I think its probably allowable though, if an IC can be added, why not a pod/ flyer with deep strike? Would love a faq. Anyway derail over. Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/298048-spartan-assault-tank/#findComment-3835793 Share on other sites
