Skulls for the Skull Raven!

Recommended Posts

Ain't the tags an appetizing bunch?

I've seen skulls, severed heads and other gore trophies dangling from space marines belts and hands often here (who said 'Night Lords?'), and I was wondering what GW boxes provided them. Severed heads over skulls preferably, and ideally with pictures of the coveted trophies. I've just finished a test model for my Lex Talionis-inspired Raven Guard and he's sorely lacking that eye-for-an-eye vibe a freshly cut off head tends to inspire.

Thank you in advance.

I heard Night Lords.

Who called? ^_^

The absolute best boxes I've found so far are a bunch from the Dark Eldar range such as Hellions, Scourges and the Ravager. They have *tons* of skulls and a couple of severed heads in each. These two are my favorites.

Some Dark Eldar kits have Decapitated Head Trophy Racks. I also assume that Chaos / CSM will have a bunch of them too.

GW also sells a "pack of Skulls" for basing that you could probably use. http://www.games-workshop.com/en-CA/Pack-of-Skulls

Though they are currently out of stock :\

^^ This is good advice. Much like the several Corvettes I have owned over my short life, I have yet to get rid of a single model kit or bits (intentionally at least) that I've purchased.

Gotta have a well stocked bits box. I'll totally use it at some point. Honest ^_^

That does remind me, the witch elves, executioners and storm vermin all have interesting skulls and severed head bits if you want to jump the line into WHFB for parts. The one from the storm vermin box is very popular (the one with two heads held in a single hand) and you see it in Night Lord/World Eater conversions all the time.

Yeah, I think Brother Heinrich used it early in his 15th company thread. It's actually rereading his thread a few days ago that made me want to know where the trophies come from. Maybe I should PM him. tongue.png

Thanks for the help. My usual bit dealers on ebay don't have any of the bits mentioned here though, haha. laugh.png
