The Bloody 12th, children of a broken God

Recommended Posts

So I'm going to leave this guy here for this evening. He's the first of the characters I've done for this force and I tend to run him as a praetor. I very much like the gladiatorial aspect of the World Eaters background and so I've tried to embrace that as much as possible in this guys design.

I have to say, yes an amazing job on the models. But it can't be under stated the bases are great! Really tired it together.

Curious about the scenery earlier tho with the buildings and such, is that more of yours? They look awesome!

Thanks chaps, the kind words are much appreciated.

Now as this is the work in progress forum I thought I ought to post something that is wip rather than finished, so here goes.

This guy will be my 30k version of Scyrack that I talked about at the begging of my plog. Other than the shoulder pad I will be adding a reinforced greave plate similar to that on my jump pack preator and a reinforced left arm harness in a similar manner to the one that Khârn the bloody has.

Thats all for today folks, tomorrow I shall put up another painted unit and some pics of the 20 man tactical squad with close combat weapons that I'm painting.

That hammer axe looks BRUTAL. Did it start life as a thunder hammer?

How did you smooth the detail off the assault marine combat shield? Did you just file it?

Dallo

Side note: my iPad autocorrects axe to pace. :/

Morning folks, just a couple of bits before I head out to the workshop. First off is one of my completed assault squads, I've posted some pics of these guys before but I wasn't happy with the images so hopefully these are an improvement.

Next up is the tactical squad with close combat weapons that I'm working on. These guys will also double up as Rampagers if and when I decide to run them. Most of them are at a 3 colour stage at the moment and as you can see I take 5 at a time and work them to completion. A number of the weapons are comically bent right now due to being stored in my case for a while but these will get straightened out. If time allows the decals will be going onto the front 5 this evening.

Decals and sponge weathering went onto these guys so next week I will get the bases done and blood spatter then onto the next 5, unless red butchers happen.

Also here are some hopefully improved pictures of my mark 4 assault squad.

Cheers guys, I like the guy with the bronze helm too. Those 5 are completed as of this evening so pictures to follow in the next couple of days. Other than painting them I have been working on a chaplain/ pit marshal. The outline of the idea is that Pit marshal is a loose honorific given to a noted pit champion. It is their duty to marshal the pit fights and dispense punishment to those who break the rules of the arena and in some respects uphold the spiritual traditions of the 12th legion. With the introduction of the chaplain edict these warriors were the perfect representatives to take on this role, a bit more fleshing out is obviously needed but here he is.

Also as I mentioned before I intend to run a fairly hefty orbital assault list, currently sitting at about 5k pts so here are my first 4 drop pods.

Well Ladies and Gentlemen that's me spent for the evening. Hopefully you will enjoy pictorial delights, stay tuned for more in the coming evenings.

Bonne nuit

As ever thank you for the positive comments. I took a picture of the painted rampagers and it turned out rubbish so I will get everything set up tomorrow and re take it. Never fear my bloody ones I do have some completed models for your eye holes.

Behold.....the angron bus!

I love this model. Stick Angron, an apothacary and as many marines in it as possible and you've got all of your eggs in one handy basket.

Also I've started painted the first of my contemptors.

This guy is my rendition of Styvath the berserker who is illustrated in betrayal. So until tomorrow when I try too improve my photography skills, sleep tight.

Cheers guy's, I like him too. More so because in my last game he charged 32 inches up the table through the combined fire power of a fellglaive and Spartan to pull the glaive apart and flip it onto and destroy the Spartan!

@LongGone the chains are from the dark eldar raider kit.
