Brother Paen
I have a collection of Knights in my Household. 3 Paladins , 2 Errants , 1Lancer , 1 Castigator , and 1 Acheron. I understand that an FAQ has made changes to the Codex...I would like to field an army of Knights only. aside from point restrictions, what are the limitations? Lucien Eilam
The only limit is that you can't have more of any single Forge World type in an Imperial Knights army than you have Knights of other types. Since you only have one of each FW Knight, that doesn't apply to you. You can field everything you own in Detachments of 3-6 Knights. You could also arrange 3 Paladins or Errants in any combination into an Adamantine Lance Formation from Sanctus Reach: The Red Waaagh. Pascalnz
that's not quite how the limits on FW knihgts run. you can't have "more" of one type of FW than any other knights in your army. so you could have two lancers and two castigators, or 1 errant 1 archeron and two lancers. jeffersonian000
FW is releasing a HH Knight Household book shortly, which may very well change how the FW Knights can be taken as an army. We shall see. SJ Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/298229-how-many-knights-can-i-field-in-a-regular-40k-game/#findComment-3857529 Share on other sites
ServoBadger
3-6 Knights in a Detachment? Am I reading the FAQ wrong? I thought you were supposed to ignore all of the force organisation chart in the Codex now in favour of Detachments of 1-3 Knights? Then again I haven't even built my two Knights yet so I might be completely wrong. Lucien Eilam
You mean the FAQ that came out two days after I wrote that post? ServoBadger
Apologies, the file name on the PDF says August. I looked at that instead of the website as I should have.
