MalachiOfRuss
Did anyone get Hour of the Wolf? Is the content in it any good? I'm not particularly interested in super-competitive, but does it have good fluff and interesting story-driven missions? I tried doing some searches but it seems no one online posted a review of it (which is weird). Karack Blackstone
I have the rules version in standard size, and a smaller copy that I might be willing to part with, depending upon things. It's not that great of rules, however there's a section on the unit that Logan and Arjac roll with, two units of WGTDA are possible, in any variant LR hull as dedicated transports, one for each pack. If this unit includes the mandatory: - Logan (on or off sled, attached to one unit off sled) - Arjac - WG TDA (3 to 8) - WG TDA (3 to 8) - LR (Dedicated, any LR variant) - LR (Dedicated, same) The WG TDA gain WS 5 just like in CoF. That, and there's like 12 missions to play, including a rather deadly little mission sequence that goes into the Sanctus Reach story. Certainly worth getting if you don't like the twin Stormwolf WG TDA units for Logan from CoF. Edit: the WG TDA in Stormwolves are not bad, really; it's more the sled Logan is forced to ride that I take real issue with these days. Jochteas
idk, if I was going WGTDA I think I still might want Arjac Shield brothers. You still get the WS+ and the T+ and the strike backs. But the downside is they all have to be TH/SS so if you don't like that This would be better I suppose. I'm going to need to amend my post tomorrow; Logan gets four USR's to choose one of each turn, they are similar to the High King rules from fifth Ed., and are part of this force. If this force needs an HQ, I would use a WGBL in TDA with TH / SS as the Arjac theme can be kept or switched out as needed. Karack Blackstone
I didn't get a chance to check, however, from memory: Preferred Enemy, Relentless, Tank Hunters, Fearless (Should be Furious Charge) Should be the USR's that Logan may choose one of each turn. That I think is the same choices as 5th Ed Codex, so it's pretty useful, just very different if one does not want Logan to ride the sled, as in this formation from HotW he can either be on the sled, or if not, must be attached to a unit of WG TDA. I recommend getting the book if all this thread interests you, and I will check tonight, as this morning I was rather rushed to get going sadly. Edit: Found the error in my assumption from last night.
