Deamon Wolf
if you had a 1500 point Zone of Mortails game and only ran Knights what would you run ? Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/298570-zone-of-mortalis/ Share on other sites
Reclusiarch Darius
HQ: Grandmaster w/hammer+psycannon, Cuirass of Sacrifice (230 points) Librarian w/hammer+storm bolter (120 points) Troops: Justicar w/sword, 2x Terminators w/sword+psycannon, 2x Terminators w/hammers, 5x Terminators w/swords (390 points) (2) Justicar w/sword, 2x Terminators w/sword+psycannon, Terminator w/hammer, 6x Terminators w/swords (380 points) Total: 1500 Attach the Grandmaster and Libby to the squads with only one hammer. Smash face. Terminators are seriously your best option, you can't use DK's as they are too big, and our expensive PA options melt to close-range attacks. There is generally a lot of melee with Zone Mortalis missions as well, and Termies are scary to fight. IndigoJack
Hmm, I think this may be a situation in which purgation squads may actually be useful. With the limited range of the corridors, the 12" range of the psycannons may actually not be as painful. Additionally, purifiers utilizing cleansing flame are going to be brutal, as they can effectively shoot through walls. MSU is key in zone mortalis, as with blasts and templates gaining shred MSU is a good way to limit your casualties. 'Cleansing Flame' is great but most people take Terminators or other heavy infantry in ZM missions for that precise reason (flamers become god-tier). Take our own superior Terminators, shred them in melee. Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/298570-zone-of-mortalis/#findComment-3848116 Share on other sites
