CoffeeGrunt
Anyone else seen one of these or own one? They seem to be very obscure, but the few I've seen assembled on forums look gorgeous. The vaguely-Macharius design is a real winner for me, and the detail looks excellent with great variety of weapons loadouts to represent various Russes. Link here. I'm tempted to buy one or two to start replacing my Russes with and unify the aesthetic of my tanks. They're much pricier than the plastic Russ kit, but compare very favourably with the Forge World offerings. I've bought three Battlesuits from this guy before, so I know he's reliable and does great sculpts. Still would like other opinions before I throw down the cash, though! Vash
Looks much better than the GW models for sure. Not as bulky and more realistic to modern tanks today. If i would go for tanks, these would probably be the ones i would get. WarriorFish
Yes I've seen them before, a cross between a Baneblade and Macharius more or less. They look good, but might be a little on the large side to represent a Russ? librisrouge
Might be nice enough to actually stand in for a Macharius though. Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/298935-mortian-heavy-battletank/#findComment-3855331 Share on other sites
lionofjudah
Coffee... Thank you for posting that link. I was going to order one in the spring and lost the link:) I think it is a fantastic model and the reviews I remember were stellar for detail, assembly and aesthetic. CoffeeGrunt
It's a good deal smaller than a Macharius, but as a Russ it's maybe a little too large, but that's fine IMO, as it's only a disadvantage for me. Worth it for such pretty models and a unified aesthetic. I only use two Russ Battle Tanks these days anyway, so it won't sting too much. hendrik
They don't seem to have that many rivets though like other imperial vehicles Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/298935-mortian-heavy-battletank/#findComment-3855699 Share on other sites
elmo
I have bought some of the tau battlesuits from this company and the service and quality was ok but I have not bought this tank. Looks good though ;) Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/298935-mortian-heavy-battletank/#findComment-3855814 Share on other sites
CoffeeGrunt
I quite liked my "XV91 Trauma Battlesuits," as I decided to name them. A pity the XV9s they ran as were not so great. I think I've decided on this. I'm going to buy one and do a little review on it, just to get a hands-on opinion on the model. It's a nice tank that fits into the Guard aesthetic, unlike many other third-party offerings. It's also ripe for a bit of conversion, I can see a lot of stowage, bundled camo netting and such looking good on this. Christmas spending permitting, I should hopefully be able to order this by the end of the month. JaM_TW
I'm not too sure... I quite like the blocky/cluncky look of the Russ. But, depending on your review and scale comparison (surely!), I might be tempted to buy 2. elmo
I did a review on the battlesuit from them... it gives an idea of the quality of the companies products. I know you bought some already but it may help other buyers to decide. Looking forward to seeing it in your colours :) Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/298935-mortian-heavy-battletank/#findComment-3856229 Share on other sites
Kif
Also been looking at these but I have been unable to get a reply from enquiries which makes me a bit cautious. WarriorFish
Better to be safe than sorry, if they don't respond to an enquiry that doesn't bode well if you had to contact them over a problem  Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/298935-mortian-heavy-battletank/#findComment-3867732 Share on other sites
