After reading through the Knight army list i would not say that the Styrix is a worse choise. For a pure Knight army he could be a good AA Option. In combination with a Preceptor the Styrix could act as a Long range AA platform. Give him the Scion Arbalester and Keep him within 6" to the Preceptor.

The Preceptor give the Styrix Interceptor and the Arbalester give him Skyfire.

Okay, you could agure that the Castigator could also be used as the Arbalester, but i prefer the greater range and the higher strength of the Styrix.

The Styrix does seen to be making up for the Magaera debacle. I'm quite happy with its weapons load and special rules, and look forward to fielding one after I convert a standard kit over.
