Just curious which GW paints to use on Blood Angels Assault marine helms?

As far as I know, they're painted Yellow.

To get a good solid yellow, you probably want to start with a base of Averland Sunset. Shade in the recesses with Casandora Yellow. Clean up with Averland Sunset again.

 

If you want a darker, mustard-ish yellow, stop here and edge highlight with Yriel Yellow, then do point highlights with Flash Gitz Yellow.

 

If you want to go brighter, instead of edge highlighting, layer Yriel Yellow onto the helm, then edge highlight with Flash Gitz Yellow, with point/spot highlights with either Dorn Yellow or a 1:1 mix of Flash Gitz Yellow:White Scar.

 

If you want a richer yellow tone, but to also "meld" everything together better, you can use a glaze of Lamenters Yellow.

 

If you want a brighter yellow than this, you can base everything white. Shade the recesses with Casandora Yellow. Clean up with Ceramite White. Apply one glaze of Lamenters Yellow and see if it is too light still. If so, apply a second glaze layer. Then edge highlight with White Scar.
