Detergent to speed up paint stripping in ultra sonic cleaner

Title speaks for itself, what if any detergent can I add to speed things up? :)

I use 100% isopropyl alcohol, works really well on acrylics and under coats.

Do you add that to the water tank?

I put it straight into the tank in its 100% form! It's really cheap to buy on e bay, it does smell a bit - not as bad as dettol - but my ultrasonic cleaner has a lid, so I just leave it to bubble away for an hour or so. Most paint is generally stripped in that time and very little use of the electric toothbrush is required. The one caveat is that IPA doesn't work very well on old enamels. For that I use biostrip (www.biostrip.co.uk)

I have used IPA but even with a lid I found it smelled so I am trialling simple green now.

 

You can get specific ultrasonic cleaning solution but it is not cheap.
