beasts of war backstage pass?

Recommended Posts

I have recently signed up to beasts of war and I was wondering if the backstage pass is worth the monthly fee. It was for the modelling and painting tutorials mainly I was intetested in seeing/watching. Does anyone here use the site and have a backstage pass. Any information would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

I had the Beasts of War Backstage pass back in the days when Andy and Darrell worked for them. But after Andy and Darrell left BOW I cancelled my subscription because they where the reason why I subscribed in the first place.

Of course I had access to their painting tutorials as well, but never really liked them very much. Back then they had Roman (don't know if he's still with them) but I never liked his way of painting miniatures. Don't get me wrong, that lad can paint pretty good, it was just a matter of taste.

At the end of the day I have to say that the Backstage pass isn't worth the money and like SW1 already mentioned there are lots of good free painting tutorials online.

Tale of painters is excellent! They produce content on regular basis and also have painting tutorials from time to time. If you want to spend your money for "extended" content I like to recommend www.miniwargaming.com they offer lots of battle reports, painting tutorials and much more. Also vault members can download that content for free!
