Relic Vehicles

So in the current edition IA V2 the space marine one never remember the full name! we have relic vehicles. As we are all aware you can only take 1 relic vehicle unless you take a master of the forge or what ever they are called. Now in the book it states what units other SM chapters need to take to represent a master of the forge for you to have access to multiple relic vehicles. Now this was written when space wolves had the last codex and it states that we need a rune priest with Beastslayer upgrade from last codex.

So as this has not been updated do you think it would be ok just to take a rune priest? Or should we take a rune priest and splash out an additional 15 points to make up for this? Or would you say that we cannot take more than 1 relic till this gets updated?

What are relic vehicles? Are they FW exclusive or do they include super heavies? And as a side note can SM and SW field Baneblades and stuff like that in a normal geme? I have no idea how this works.

And sorry i dont mean to change the subject of the topic

Forgeworld IA volume 2 2nd ed. contains the war machines of astartes. The relic vehicles are just 'special' vehicles built and survived and remain in the armory. Within this book 'codex', it has 40k approved additional vehicles you can field, apoc only vehicles etc. There's specific rules, points, everything you need to field them. Theres also restrictions etc. for fielding qty of them to stop spammage.

Is a baneblade listed? I cant recall offhand and dont have it handy, but there are LR variants, predator variants, rhinos, fellblade SH's, Sicaran and attk craft such as flyers.

Make sure your opponent is prepared to let you play with them, even if it is '40k approved' :)

Ok, just looked it up.  According to the IA2, 2nd edition, it is a Lord of War choice and is not specifically labeled for Apoc games only.  So you are allowed to take one in a normal 40K game.  So it the Typhon, the Cerberus, etc.  The Thunderhawk too, which would be hilarious.  Take a thunder hawk and still have 315 points for an HQ and units to put in it in a 1000 point game.  Talk about cheese!
