Frostmournes Hobby Adventure, Episode 2: A New Beginning.

Hi,

I had to get rid of all, and i mean all, of my Hobby. I have the 7th edition Rule book, the HH books, some codices and Hobby materials.

In Febuary next year i am starting a 6 month Campaign, where there shall be 4 teams, Imperium, Chaos, Eldar (Both dark and normal), and any other Xenos.

I was originally not scheduled to take part in this campaign after dropping out of the hobby for a few months, but now its the perfect thing for me to slot back into Warhammer with. My only Proviso to the GM was that i could take a Legion list.

Now, i am all but decided on a Sigismund Imperial Fists Veteran Force. As this was the last thing i had decided to do before my Hobby Break. (Apart from an Emperors Children/ Iron hands project that Fire Golem twisted my arm into.. )

Anyway, i want this army to be balanced, i want it to be fun, and it was it to contain as MANY things that do not exist in 40k, so it doesnt feel like i am brining boring marines to a campaign that is always just under 50% marines.

So, Lords of the Great Crusade who know alot more about rules that I, i have some questions.

Assuming i am Bringing Sigismund, can i run the Pride of the Legion RoW? As this is what i want.

Is there any way, with FoC shenanigans, to get some Mechanicum represented in there properly and safely?

What are everyones favourite 30k models and rules that arent in 40k, i do already like Sicarans, Cataphracti and Fire Raptors (I know they are in 40k now but no one has them)

Are there any other suggestions for a Loyalist 30k Army that you can have more fun with? Im not THAT bothered about winning every game, id like to win 3/4, but id love to have fun more, any suggestions?



Also, with this Templar 1st Company thing i am going with, i am planning on sticking to the mosty metallic silver/black with one yellow arm from Extermination Artwork, any thoughts or concepts of how to put this onto a Vehicle?

Sigismund has the Master of the Legion rule, so he can choose take Pride of the legion.

 

You could ally in a small mechanicus detachment. Other non-40k units I'd look at would be Breachers, maybe a Spartan and a contemptor dread.
