ThroneWarden
Using the paint hex codes to get an idea, approximately, of what I would like to do for the color scheme. Averland Sunset/Kantor Blue. Can the Averland Sunset pass for a warm gold or is it to orange? I've seen some pics but through a computer monitor I can't be sure. The blue could maybe be a bit darker. Any opinions? Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/299300-throne-wardens-color-scheme/ Share on other sites
Tiberius Cato
The Averland Sunset is indeed yellow, it's more towards the goldenrod side. Kantor Blue is that same blue in the picture, and the yellow is about the same. If you mix in a little brown and white you could probably get a gold-ish colour from the Averland Sunset. Or if you want metallics you could use the Balthasar Gold, and maybe get a metallic blue by mixing Kantor Blue and Leadbelcher (haven't tried yet) Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/299300-throne-wardens-color-scheme/#findComment-3862926 Share on other sites
Stercus
I think that's a solid scheme. You've got a nice contrast between the two colours and plenty of potential for adding details in other shades too. No harm in cracking on with the averland/kantor combo. Definitely going to look into the metallics. Been seeing some models in metallic here on the forums and they look great. Â I think that's a solid scheme.
