The_son_of_Dorn
There is alot in the warhammer genre i don't like or understand, chief of which is how the primarchs were able to be corrupted in the first place and that the Emperor genuinely didn't want to be seen as divine or promote religious worship, but at a second glance has no problem being treated as a demi god by nearly everyone he meets. The primarchs confuse me as they are were designated to be greater than baseline humanity but in some cases are so much worse, Curze for example was born in darkness and did what he could without guidance to become the primarch he was, ruthless, determined and yet faulted by so many basic needs and disturbances which the Emperor had the blatant opportunity to step in directly and intervene with. If Curze never felt loyalty why should he show it to his own sons instead of lead with fear? I could see many Night lords (not the murdery, rapey ones) falling into allegiance to the big E (especially those taken from terran stock) as although he was a cold to Night Haunter his temperament was in general to other loyalist imperials generally alright. If anything i'd of expected some loyalist NL's to try their best to bring down as many of the nostromans/traitors as possible. Marshal Rohr
If imagine loyalist Night Lords were the ones who disliked Kurze from the beginning. Terrans or otherwise. It's not like he was a good general. Surely even some Nostramans would've preferred the sense of purpose being a legionary gave them. The_son_of_Dorn
Agreed, even some nostramos (or nozzies, for short) would of been of decent morale stock and would of been willing to fight for the right causes. Legatus
I could imagine that within the disillusioned Night Lords legion there was considerably less of a personal cult around their Primarch than in other Legions. I would find it more difficult to believe that elements of the Sons of Horus or the Word Bearers would decide to go against their Primarch. Marshal Rohr
Kurze was always a terrible commander. There would be absolutely no cult of personality for him. His whole purpose was to be a :cuss and remind everyone the emperor created him. Like Sev pointed out in PoC, he was always a :cuss. He never tried anything else. Kol Saresk
Well, he did comment when asked about purging those not loyal to him with something like "I wouldn't know where to start". Can't remember the sourcePrince of Crows. And it easily makes sense when a tradition called the "murder duel" existed within the Legion and they were backstabbing other Astartes long before the Heresy. And Curze did have a cult of personality. Recall Talos, Sahaal and Acerbus. All three practically worshipped their father in some way or another.
