Opinion Needed!

Hello my furry friends! I am making a DIY chapter, and between vannila and SW rules, I think SW will fit my play style a lot better.

So my question is since the Grey Hunters can take Bolt Pistol, Chain-Sword and Bolter, what is your favourite way of representing this?

My plan is to have a wolf lord as chapter master, a battle leader as knight and a all round unit of grey hunters in a rhino with them.

I could use long fangs as cc but the split fire is too damn useful.

Thanks!

You can also look into Forge World Chapters. Carcharodons Chapter Tactics gives all your units Fear, they can replace Bolter for CCW for free or take CCW/BP/Bolter for 1 point premium. When a unit of yours kills or routs an enemy they gain Rage until the end of the game. Very aggressive.

As for SW, I do not use GH. But representing CCW/BP/Bolter would be to show the unused weapons holstered. For example, BP/CCW equipped and Bolter on the back or Bolter equipped, CCW on the back and BP on the side.

But tell us more about the fluff of your dudes, perhaps we can help you more.

I got inspiration mainly on my homeland and the warriors and armies that lived and fought there.

Celts,Roman, Visigoths, and medieval Knightly orders.

They are Knightly Highlanders, 3rd founding, IF gene seed, trained by a BT cadre. They use great-swords and have a ritual fight with big sauros creatures. (again i could use Dark Elves cold ones as thunderwolfes if I feel like it)

By using the battle leader as a knight with runic armour and frost sword, it can give that elite feel to him instead of just a veteran Sargent. Also i can use blood claws as neophytes being led by a knight (kinda like Initiate Neophyte relation, again BT training cadre).

Here is a pic of my highlander knight.

They like to use rhino rush, hence having bolter at disembark without assault is awesome, with counter attack on cc.

Their main mission is to stand guard over the eye of terror.

This is the basic fluff.

I checked Space Sharks, but a bit too bloody.

I want Bloody but with Honour. Hence my SW choice.

Damn fine idea. The aesthetics and idea is very similar to what I wanted to run once. I like the mix between the feral look and the knightly one. By the way, why Cold Ones? Get The Demigryps from Empire. They fit the feral knight look perfectly well.

Well in the fluff the home world is consisted 90% of Reptiles.

But actually Demigryphon's would go very well! awesome idea!

I could just say they live in the mountain areas of the planet.
