Accept No Failure

Sorry if this has been posted, but I've been in a reading/listening frenzy while I paint lately.

I'm probably.... what's the best way to put this...? Least enthralled with the Dark Angels fiction I get my hands on but Accept No Failure sounds pretty cool.

Has anyone had a listen to it? It's been in my Black Library cart for a week now and I can't pull the trigger yet. Someone here MUST have heard it by now, right? I mean this is where all things robed come to kill.

Please give us a little review if you've got the time.

EDIT: Disregard, my earlier post, I found it.

Personally, even though I'm a completionist when it comes to Dark Angels material, I think I'll be skipping this.  The fact of the matter is that it annoys me that Piscina was ever made to be this big defining fight for the Dark Angels.  I was even more irritated when this conflict dragged on even after Ghazghkull Thraka was forced out of the system (see Ravenwing).  I was yet MORE irritated when the whole Chapter had to be brought in to take care of this situation (see Master of Sanctity).

Frankly, I can't believe that this backwater struggle is the "signature" conflict we keep going back to.

I didn't know this existed, and having read the synopsis I'm not really interested.

As the war against the vicious alien orks on the world of Piscina IV grinds on, Deathwing Captain Belial is haunted by his failure the first time the Dark Angels and greenskins clashed on that war-wracked world. As he counsels Chapter Master Azrael to enact Exterminatus and end the conflict at a stroke, he recalls the last time he had the chance to end the war – when he faced the Great Beast, Ghazghkull Thraka himself, in single combat…

The battle between Captinan [sic] Belial of the Dark Angels and the great ork warlord Ghazghkull Thraka is one of the most famed duels in Warhammer 40,000 history. Find out all about it in this audio, and the scars that the confrontation left on the Grand Master of the Deathwing.

Don't get me wrong, the Piscina campaign is close to my heart. I followed Andy Chambers' games in White Dwarf, bought the campaign box (then lost the excellent terrain sad.png ) and didn't hate the novel but Belial is not an interesting character and Gav's fight scenes are, in my opinion, not his strongest area.

Having said that, if this extends the Piscina story in an interesting way I could be tempted.

[Edit] Many thanks for bringing this up Prot. While on the Black Library website I found some copies of The Imperial Truth in the Vault. biggrin.png
