Z00Z
Hail brothers, As a thematic list, I'm building 4 possible fast attack units. TWC is obvious, and that loadout will be magnetised for some flexibility. I love the look of speeders, always have....even if they are not 'go-to' units, but the question I have is, if you were going to create a unit of 3, what would be the preffered loadout? I'm busy building one as part of the solstice vow and that will be a typhoon pattern to accompany my LF's and add some dakka. I think they can be useful if you consider its a fast unit, able to jink and if parked in or around cover will give you a handy save. Their range also appeals to me. What loadout would you recommend for the other 2? Thirdly, a bike WG bike squad. Just ordered some of these, what would be the preffered bike unit loadout? I'm thinking keeping the unit of 5 cheap with basic loadout and a melta, accompanied by a RP biker. Any thoughts? Donkalleone
There are 2 Builds Beside the Typhoon one. HF/MM Combo and HB/HB . And the Speeders arent bad but the TWC just forced them out from FA. The Melta Variant is best when 2 are run trying to get side/rear armor hits. HeavyBolter Variant is best to run 3 at a time to drown enemys in str 5 hits. On a Side Note: I think a Whirlwind with LF would fit better but you want a fast force Typhoon is an alternative. I would play bikers as basic as possible with 1-2 Meltabombs with them, Jinxing all you can since u want to be in CC fast. RP on Bikes (Biomanncy) work well if u have TWC to support. Hear da Lamentation
If you want those bikers in combat (and I agree you do) then I think you also need at least 1 or 2 Storm Shields. Everyone keeps saying you dont need them because you can jink. But this is completely ignoring the point that you want them in combat - and there are plently of things out there ignoring 3+ in combat.
