GreyCrow
Hey guys ! I'm planning to run an Auspex to reduce cover saves on my Captain, but my Captain has no ranged weapons and I'm worried I can't use the Auspex ? The rules say that "in place of making a shooting attack", I can mark a unit with an Auspex. But can I do that, considering I have no ranged weapons (two melee) and therefore am unable to make a shooting attack. Do you guys think I could still use the Auspex, or am I resigned to find another character to put my auspex on ? Cheers ! Slave to Darkness
"in place of making a shooting attack" No gun, no shooting attack, so you should be fine, dreadsock anyone who argues with you on this, I've even got a metal dread goin spare as well if you wanna use it ;) Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/299768-auspexes-and-character-without-ranged-weapons/#findComment-3873256 Share on other sites
Vykryl
Should be fine as it's a piece of equipment that is activated during the shooting phase instead of the model shooting something. It doesn't require you to have a ranged weapon to activate the Auspex. SyNidus
Also, throwing krak/frag grenades are shooting attacks so.....Instead of making that shooting attack, you can use your auspex ;) Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/299768-auspexes-and-character-without-ranged-weapons/#findComment-3875075 Share on other sites
