Max_Dammit
http://www.games-workshop.com/en-NL/Grey-Knight-Nemesis-Vanguard Good buy for a starter or no? Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/299882-short-question-for-a-friend/ Share on other sites
JeffTibbetts
Seems like a good buy, but I'd be a little concerned about the Land Raider. I don't think you can make that into a Crusader or Redeemer and those would be much better. If nothing else it's a pretty well-rounded set and it would give a new player a lot to paint and have fun with. Start easy with the PA squads and work yourself up to the Dreadknight to finish it off. :D Maybe play some Kill Team in the meantime... And the price is good, right? I didn't do the math but that seems cheaper than buying them separately. raverrn
The Land Raider comes with the bits to build every variant, but I'd echo not really needing it. Grey Knights are low-model enough that buying a list individually isn't too bad. Zembar
I think it's a good kit, but it's pretty heavy on the pa guys, which you should turn into interceptors(with magnetized packs if strikes get useful), and purifiers. The land raider is always cool, but pretty useless. If you're going to play seriously, it's not great, but if you're going to get 15 pa guys anyway, you basically get a free land raider, and that's always fun. I'd recommend it as a good getting started thing to play with friends, for sure. Just know you also need an HQ. Preferably a librarian. Reclusiarch Darius
It's okay. I would never buy battleforces from GW, they always saddle you with bad units like LR's. I'd plan a list and then buy individual boxes dude. You save a lot more than way, especially if you don't buy from GW directly.
